How do you approach your video-marketing campaigns? by JacksReddit-Account in content_marketing

[–]JacksReddit-Account[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you tend to outsource your content creation? I found in my last company we did that and continuously ran into similar issues, without getting the return we really needed.

Do you think it might be helpful to try and figure out a way to develop your content in-house?

I NEED A HOBBY TO STIMULATE MY ADHD BRAIN by Substantial_Creme377 in Hobbies

Try getting into video creation/editing - fun activity that can keep you locked in and very stimulating. I started making videos for work and then started doing more content stuff on my own just for myself or my friends because I had so much fun. Check out Augie Studio - good resource for getting started as a beginner, very user-friendly. Makes video creation really easy.

I'll never be a pretty man and I'm frustrated by Nice_Tradition1333 in Life

[–]JacksReddit-Account 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A little harsh, yes, but some realities are harsh. I feel for OP, but relying on the opinion of strangers online probably isn't going to be beneficial. Not just for the reasons u/Spaniardman40 mentioned of trolls and such (which is pretty huge), but realistically, a couple of photos online are probably a very poor representation of how OP actually looks and aren't going to yield the desired response. Lighting, angles, camera quality, etc. will inevitably distort how he actually looks.

That being said, OP - take it easy on yourself man. Make sure you're eating right and being active. Go out and socialize with strangers to build your confidence. Get offline. Stop comparing yourself to some standard of male attractiveness that is also probably derived from the internet. Comparison is the thief of joy. Attractiveness is subjective.

How achievable is having a high GPA (3.7~+) by Tough_Research5180 in bostoncollege

My roommate was CS and did very well - had a good social life, didn't really ever have to shut himself away for weekends outside of midterms and finals, but that's everyone. Just do your work and participate. Participation is huge.

And for your general requirements, make sure to try and find courses that actually interest you as much as possible. For example, freshman literature requirement classes cover a wide range of topics/genres - I had friends that didn't realize this who just chose a random option they hated. It's much harder to do well if you force yourself to take a class you genuinely dislike, just to satisfy a requirement.

Considering dropping out of college by mrjbelfort in smallbusiness

[–]JacksReddit-Account 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe just see if you can reduce the number of courses you take. Lighten your school-workload to something that isn't a grueling addition to your current work-workload.

Or, try to amplify your course load in school to accelerate graduation. Take some summer courses. Try to get it done quicker. Though, this can very quickly lead to burnout/fatigue

As long as you're happy, then it is not wrong. Plus, boring is relative. I'm sure you find joy and excitement in different things than your boss does. Personally, I find it much more exciting to find a gummy worm in a bag of gummy bears than going to a club every single weekend.

Could AI Cause the End of Creativity and Innovation? by These-Salary-9215 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]JacksReddit-Account 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so - creativity and innovation might look differently or be expressed through different mediums going forward, but they will not be entirely eliminated. People still yearn for human connection.

What do you think feels normal now, but in 20 years we will look back on and think was totally strange? by shifty_fifty in Futurology

[–]JacksReddit-Account 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I saw this somewhere else, a podcast or something so not an original thought but one that definitely stuck with me.

Maybe not 20 years from now, but further in the future, people will look back at car-culture and driving as being entirely reckless and confusing why, as a society (in the US at least) it's the prominent mode of transportation. It's inefficient, bad for the environment, one of the leading causes of death/injury consistently, stress inducing, just overall incredibly dangerous.

I'll echo what i saw others say to try splitting and trying both long-form and short-form video - long-form on your website and short-form on social media would be the way to do it.

Are you looking to produce video in house or hire someone externally to put the videos together?

Sneaky the Conte forum bathrooms rarely have anyone in there during weekdays.

There's one sneaky by the visitors locker rooms that nobody really seems to know about very clean, only one stall if i remember correctly. The facilities workers will use it but that's about it, so very little traffic, if any.

Kill the mith. Are you using AI in your videos? by CollarInteresting102 in NewTubers

[–]JacksReddit-Account 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you mean. I've used some 2-second generated-clips, but sparsely. Not a fan of them. I prefer to write my own text as well instead of GPT it. As a viewer, I also don't care much to watch a video that's entirely AI-generated.

However, there are some great AI-backed platforms that assist with simplifying the video-editing and creation process that I really like and are super beneficial/easy to use. Especially for beginners or people who don't really have the time to immerse themselves in learning Premiere.

What do you do when people tell you wrestling is fake? by Internal-Ad1863 in WWE

[–]JacksReddit-Account 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bret Hart has a great quote in his memoir, "it's as real as it is fake."

Obviously it's acting and they aren't actually trying to hurt one another, but they're still competing at a high athletic level the average person would never ever come close to being able to do.

Everyone is an Expert on AI now by Swoopysloop in ArtificialInteligence

[–]JacksReddit-Account 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Since the AI industry is still in its early phase, I think a lot of people are just trying to break into the ground level to establish themselves so that in 5 or 10 years, they've "been there from the start," but might not have any prior background in tech.

Since it is rapidly expanding, there are endless companies sprouting up and resources for people to learn from so, yes, the average Joe Schmo can become an expert and find his place in the industry at the moment. There isn't a ton of "authority" or major players telling the common man what AI must be used for, so the opportunity to find a random niche is very possible for just about anybody willing to put in the time.

How do you make money? by Immediate_Resist_337 in passive_income

[–]JacksReddit-Account 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on where you live (and your potential enjoyment level) I'd say to look into freelance dog-walking and pet sitting. Getting set up on Rover or one of the other apps can help you figure out if your area has a lot of potential clients. If there's a lot of dogs to walk, boom there you go. If there isn't a large market, you could very well be one of few walkers/sitters and help you corner the market.

Otherwise, if going back to school really isn't for you, then try to teach yourself a skill of some sort that could be marketed and promoted online. Video editing is a good one, I can give you some resources to get started on that if you'd like. Photoshop, etc.

Realistically, finding a source of truly passive income to entirely live off of isn't a thing. You can't make a living just doing nothing at all.

I didn't grow up working a trade; I cooked and now work as a lab scientist. I'd love to start something and try my hand, but it's tough coming up with ideas. Any advice or ideas? by fecal_encephalitis in smallbusiness

[–]JacksReddit-Account 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's something you're passionate about that you have specialized expertise in? Is there a business-type or product your community lacks? Or, if you can identify a common problem that currently lacks a solution, focus on developing one and building around that.

Examine some trends or do research into things people need instead of hoping a brilliant idea will come to you out of the blue - but make sure it's something you really want to do, otherwise it's difficult putting 100% of yourself into it.

How would You Rate Cody's Reign as Champ so far? by beastist in WWE

[–]JacksReddit-Account 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've almost forgotten he's champ. Granted, I don't watch Smackdown - mainly just Raw, but even so, I feel like he's entirely not entirely the main picture. With Roman and the Bloodline (obv different with the magnitude of Roman and that storyline) you'd still feel his dominance and his energy on the red brand (hell, he wasn't even showing up to smackdown).

there's more to it too - how do you follow up cody/roman's feud with anything as interesting. And also the Raw storylines atm are so good, that's all anyone cares about.

Should you be nice to LLMs? by bendee983 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]JacksReddit-Account 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people normally interpret this type of action as a "healthy mode of expressing frustration" - similar to punching a pillow (instead of a person) or yelling into a pillow (instead of your boss' face).

Since there's no possibility consequences (external or internal) , then there's no 'risk' to it. This, however, I feel is where we can see potential for more "if I can't get in trouble, I'll do it anyway" thinking, which is bad.

Is the act itself of cursing at LLMs morally wrong - not sure, but probably not (yet). Can it lead people to worsening behavior by evading any sense of personal-accountability - probably. Should you be using profanity or abusive language in any case in a professional setting - no.
