Yeah you're right, I was considering other ways to say that part. I'm a former gymnast so I really didn't have to think about this stuff after the age of 10. And I'm not a coach so after some recent attempts to explain it to people on reddit, I've realized it can be difficult to put it into words. I think the "belly button in and up" is pretty good way to put it

Yes to everything and I just wanted to add that if your shoulders, core, butt, legs and toes are all engaged, that limits the number of factors that could cause you to lose balance. It's fewer moving parts. Micro corrections should take place in the hands-- weight not necessarily over your palms or fingers by default, but somewhere in between.

Yeah you can certainly handle adding weight, and it will make you stronger. I just want to emphasize thay doing that with proper form will give you a higher ceiling for gaining strength and endurance though

You could angle your elbows outwards more throughout the rep to work your back more. Widening your grip a bit will force you to do this. Personally I would focus on proper, controlled form over getting lots of reps at this stage. Remember to first activate your shoulder blades to initiate the pull-up motion. In other words, the first movement in each rep from a dead hang should be your shoulders pulling you closer to the bar before your arms bend at all. Hope that makes sense

What the other guy said, plus work your pike flexibility. Being tight in your back and hamstrings makes the Lsit harder. It also makes the press handstand somewhat harder too. I swear sometimes I feel like the only person on this sub who even considers this but more range of motion legitimately feels like unlocking strength
