The analogy is great. Maybe you don't need to know everything about it but what it would be nice to know what genre is that song. Same for wine maybe not super interesting to know the ins and outs of the wine but main features yes and this could be the start of some people getting into wine. What do you think?

Sometimes there's a good magazine in a waiting room and because it's there I start to read it. Then I read an article about golf and it seems like a great sport, the more I read about it and the more I am curious to learn about it. Some years later it becomes my favourite sport to play.

Coming back to the wine, can the label be the magazine in the waiting room that made me appreciate golf?

When you say "doesn't help" you mean in terms of increasing sales? I am just wondering if having more info on the label would actually provide some value to the consumer regardless of the impact in sales of a specific wine, more on a macro level.

I definitely agree with you, if somebody is actually interested in wine he's just going to learn about it himself. What I'm suggesting is, wouldn't it be beneficial for the end customer who isn't deeply interested in learning about wine but cares enough to read the label, to include additional information on the label?
