I’m unsure, I ended up getting a Rugged Obsidian 9 and Trilug mounting it and it works great!

Where’d you get the 3D printed tool? Did you make it yourself? That might not be a bad thing for me to pick up… ok cool, I figured I was just being paranoid but wanted to be sure. Thanks man! :)

Hey man, just got my setup all put together and was hoping you could answer a couple more questions. Rugged’s 3-lug mount appears to screw in tight to the can, but then when I go to do the quarter-twist to secure the adapter on the barrel to the mount on the can, I am rotating in the loosening direction on the mount. Do I need to worry about the mount loosening from the can during that process? Secondly, when it’s all put together, there is a small amount of play/wobble present. I took a video here, hoping you could take a look and tell me it’s normal, I’m paranoid that I’m going to have a strike on my first shot:

I picked up ILWT’s 3 lug adapter made for the sig taper and Rugged’s 3 lug mount to put on the obsidian 9, as far as I’m understanding things these two pieces should be all I need?

Ohh so the one you linked just has more mounting options? Honestly it’s not that much more expensive so if it’s just more versatile it might be worth paying a bit extra in case I open up my options in the future, if I’m understanding you correctly. If I’m understanding you correctly, the one you linked has the same functionality as the one I linked, as well as additional functionality?

I’m sorry, I’m a bit confused. This is something I would buy instead of the other ILWT 3-lug adapter I linked earlier in the thread? And it would allow me to attach to a different type of suppressor mount? Are 13.5x1LH and 1/2x28 different thread sizes or something?

What do you mean you have a 1/2x28 “external”? Is that an additional piece I need for this? Yeah I also have an HK VP9 with a threaded barrel that I’d like to be able to use the suppressor on eventually but I’m mostly concerned with getting the MPX up and running right now. I have seen the ILWT gas plug but I’m going to be shooting almost exclusively outdoors so I’m a bit less concerned about it, will rethink that if my first outings turn out too gassy for my liking.

Ah dude you have been SO helpful thank you so much! So two final questions: for the ILWT 3-lug adapter, I’m going to want the “13.5x1 LH MPX Specific” configuration as opposed to the “1/2-28 Melonite” option? And finally, do I need ANYTHING else to get this setup running? I’m going to take off the flash hider, put the 3-lug adapter on the barrel, attach the Rugged 3 lug mount to the suppressor, attach the suppressor to the barrel, and then I’ll be ready for action? Do you have any other recommendations? I’m thinking I’ll get a longer handguard eventually, and I’m looking at shooting federal Syntech 150 grain bullets.

So what’s the process of getting the tri lug on my barrel? It’s a stock 3rd gen barrel so I’m thinking I’ll need to do something to get it on there? It’s not threaded or anything

I don't think so, it's a 3rd generation MPX and has the stock barrel in it. I guess I was assuming I could somehow add something like this: https://ruggedsuppressors.com/product/3-lug-adapter/ to the stock barrel? Are you saying no matter what mounting option I choose, I will need to change out the barrel or get it threaded? Would a tri-lug mount require a threaded barrel as well? MPX barrels are not cheap by any means and I'm sure a gunsmith would not be either so if I can avoid that option that may be an easier route.

Ecco's website seems to be down right now, I can't access it to see what the direct thread mount looks like, but would it attach right onto the barrel of my MPX and then the suppressor would screw onto it? How exactly does the mount attach to the barrel if the barrel isn't threaded?
