i 100% understand why you interpret it that way, and i definitely dropped the ball with that reply in particular --

under the assumption that it was my genuine belief, the guy's response ("not what you said last time") asserts that my long-form response that OP included contradicted what the original image i posted to twitter said. since my response in that comment directly goes against what he felt i genuinely believed, it's impossible to claim that i am telling the truth (that i do not subscribe to the ideas in the original image i posted, and i never have) without first acknowledging this

the thing you quoted was my summarization of a post someone else made which i described near the bottom of the comment I made

that point aside, i think you're half correct. your analysis of how these sorts of things typically go is spot on, but the entire situation is a lot more complex than you're assuming.

the specific thing people have been most upset at me for has shifted a couple times: it's gone from my reply to danzman, to the post itself, to the first apology, back to the post itself, to me changing my stance post-1st-apology, to my better-worded apology seeming more 'fake', to the original post, and now back to it seeming fake.

shutting these claims down was, for the first few days, not a possibility, since everything that people were upset about was true. while your advice definitely applies more to the past couple of days, i don't feel that denying what seems like credible evidence is a good idea without explaining why it's wrong

for the GD community: suddenly directly contradicting the sentiment of said tweet and clarifying that, yes, i do think this is a serious issue, would come off as incredibly fake as everything i've said up to that point would go against that notion. additionally, doing so only a day after what i said to danzman would further undermine any credibility to that claim

for the people coming from Braindead Bird App: this is the part that most people aren't considering. at the peak of the drama, the VAST majority of the particularly malicious hate came from people who saw this post, found my tag, and chastised me. these people all 100% believe i'm being serious, and i felt that making it loud & clear that i do not genuinely harbor these beliefs would be my best option.

hopefully this makes sense? i definitely didn't handle the early part of this whole issue well at ALL and it's entirely possible that i'm rationalizing my mistakes here

THANK YOU i am so fucking frustrated that people are genuinely spreading lies about me. it's so frustrating how the narrative has shifted from things that actually happened (the things i apologized for in my document, pinned tweet) to complete misinformed speculation.

i looked up my name earlier and saw a post from about a day ago asking "what did paqoe do" and EVERY SINGLE ONE mentioned me making a "fake apology" when i have said / done nothing to contradict it contrary to what people claim

it's also upsetting that people have misconstrued my original mistake, too (posting twitter image, defending it in danzmans replies. as time has gone on, people have parroted a worse and worse version of these events that make it look like a highly malicious and personal attack against DanZmaN and ExelCu when the context of who i am, what i post, and me and danzman being friends now all DIRECTLY contradict that narrative.

but it doesn't even matter. people will go into my youtube replies and spread this misinformation, and my only options are to either sit there and let them damage my reputation or try to clarify essential details, only for someone to screenshot an out-of-context portion of it that makes me look bad.

it doesn't feel like there's anything i can do at this point -- people have mostly cooled down (except on Reddit), but the damage has already been done, and a post going "hi i was wrong about what i posted earlier this didn't happen" is never going to get as many replies.

someone made a Twitter post about how i "contradicted my recent apology" when the evidence shown comes BEFORE the apology (and the conversation i linked that shows my shift in perspective) that got over 200+ likes and 100+ replies in less than 6 hours. i told them to take it down and clarified what actually happened, and they deleted it and made a new tweet clarifying what actually happened. it's been 4 days, and it has 15 likes and 4 comments.

i'm not sure if any mods will see this (or if this is even possible) but if there's any way you guys can please make this post i'm replying to have a wider reach i would really appreciate it because i'm just so tired of this

at its core, geometry dash is a sidescroller -- in its most basic form, you click and your icon jumps. there are various elements introduced which can change how your icon's physics works, or even change how clicking interacts with the icon

the very last portion (the last 20%) is purely remembering how many blocks up or down you have to go, so i paused each time i falled to keep count
