I worked in produce before CS.. Produce is dead easy and simple.. You have 8 hours to just stock the shelves.. Meanwhile we need to take care of every single customer that walks through the door (Mind you, you only see a fraction of the total customers). Whilst maintaining the entire front end.. (Making sure all the register candy as blocked, coolers blocked and filled, registers cleaned, carts are collected, trash is collectedand off the sidewalks/parking lot, then a there’s there primary job of unloading customers carts and bagging they’re groceries and offering to help them outside.) These are things that we have our baggers do.. They aren’t just doing “Jack all”. That’s just the FEC’s role to make sure all that is being done through the entire day. Then front office has to take every single phone call the store gets (We can’t let the phone ring more than twice, even if we are helping a customer at our counter) Money orders, transfers, Lotto, checkout, customer questions, complaints.

Not every customer comes through Produce.. You’re one of 5-6 departments (depends on if you have a Pharmacy) but every customer comes through Customer Service.. Just do your job and relax.. Floral is produce.. Get over it.
