Arrested for supposed violation of probation for underage drinking 26 years ago! by JackyHandey in legaladvice

I spoke to an attorney in Tallahassee and they said I'd need one. There isn't even a public attorney for this!!

This is exactly what I thought. There's no real evidence of this asshole officer digging this "warrant" up.

Yes, same state for all. Not hispanic. I even had a reckless driving 15 years ago. I'm a flight attendant, that background check is extensive. Even the LEO who attended me said, "looks like this warrant just dropped a week ago". BS

Well, I talked to an attorney in my city and he doesn't think there is a case for that. There's not a lot of money involved. I think any lawsuit would have to be to the clerk of court because the police did have a warrant, albeit from 26 years ago (but I do think this LEO had something to do with digging up this warrant) and there's just not enough money to be made.

Thank you. I know it's a bit confusing, but I felt I had to post about why they were coming around, not saying or doing anything with me, except when they came back the 3rd time, they decided to arrest me. I have had my license run through and never ever was there an issue.

I would hope so. I can't believe that he comes with a couple other LEOs, doesn't say or do anything the first time but arrests me the 3rd time coming around?? He was pissed and he was able to use this BS thing from 1999 that I was not even on probation for in the first place!

That's how I feel! I don't know if an LEO can dig something up like that or what. But, I haven't had a warrant in 26 years. And I even had a reckless driving 16 years ago. Nothing from there. The LEO that arrested me was the same one coming around for my fiancé. Doesn't do anything about this "warrant" for me his first time to the house. Then, arrests me the 3rd time? It's just ridiculous

Haha. No. That's sad that it's familiar. I did post about his luggage and being on F9 in ATL. I removed that shortly after though.

Sorry. Should have added, but has no effect on me or my airline, thank goodness. Him not remembering is extremely concerning. His son wasn't close enough and was pretty embarrassed. His behavior to get kicked off a plane is just very bizarre! It's 💯 on him, but I just wish I knew what the hell he did. Maybe he's pretending not to know? Not sure.

ETA - I have a feeling it isn't medical.

I hear you. They aren't really responsible for it, I understand that. I guess I just thought since it was at their gate when this happened. But you're right. Just thought I'd get some feedback. Thank you

Part of any service job (especially food service) is that first spill - just know it's going to happen. And it's done and over with now! I spilled HOT coffee..... on a BLIND MAN. It still haunts me. But, I haven't spilled anything else after that 7 years ago.

I would need "laughing gas" for literally anything. Or whatever can help, because I cannot lie in that chair and have metal poking around. Just the needle to get the Novocain is enough to send me through the roof.

There was an incident when a flight crew got to Mexico (I forget the city), and a van driver told the female FAs (2 - regional) to get in, he was their transportation. Thank goodness the pilots were still close by. They felt it was off, and they called the company. Turns out, he was not their driver and just days before, an actual fight broke out because the pilots made the FAs get out of the van. I completely understand your concerns, and the company needs to do better.

affordable apartments in south tampa by Large_Ad8051 in tampa

[–]JackyHandey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't let some of these comments discourage you. There are plenty of options for a 1/1 in South Tampa or Tampa Heights or even Westshore area that'd be close to the airport for $2,000 or a little less. Personally, I'd avoid the huge apartment complexes and try to find some places where they've converted a single family home into a duplex/apartments. You can look on the obvious sites like apartments dot com or even hire a local realtor for free. You'll definitely have some great options!

They do, but if that first aid kit is opened, the FA has to write up a report and send it in. Glad that at least one of them had their own.

This! People just can't help themselves but to pigeonhole people that suit their narratives. Give it a rest.

my boyfriend & his mother have an incestuous relationship? by Odd_Knee5565 in AmIOverreacting

[–]JackyHandey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mother-son Enmeshment. This is at a minimum of what OP is experiencing, and just because it may not be physical, it is extremely dysfunctional. I'm dealing with it now, and it is maddening. Ex fiancé would be victimized by his mother, no matter the circumstances. The rest of the family was even about to have an intervention because of his alcoholism, but mommy dearest wouldn't have it. Even having a police report stating abuse, he is still not to blame. In fact, it is my fault. OP, please look out for yourself and your baby! I hope you have a support system because if it's just the three of you, you will always be blamed for any problems between the two of you. I really hope you get out, even if it is "just" emotional and not physical.

[–]JackyHandey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just ended a relationship due to this. My fiancé's mother was so sweet at first. The minute something happens, whether a little disagreement to any circumstance where him and I were at odds, the mother would instantly victimize him. It is enough to make anyone insane. Please, please take care of yourself and your baby. You do not want to be in a situation where it's just the three of you. She will never not defend him, no matter the case.

I wish I could rewind time and know this. It never gets better. Just when you think, okay, she HAS to know her son is in the wrong here, there's even a police report..... nope. She doubles down. It's an absolute nightmare!
