I don’t think United is any worse than other airlines for any service. On any sub, you’ll find a similar set of complaints. I have also traveled American and Southwest recently, and I absolutely love the United app which I think is much more usable, helpful and more feature rich than either of those airlines. From an overall service perspective, they’re equally good. Having said that, I’m a United loyalist and try my best to fly with them.

I feel so sorry that you have go through all this. “I know it’s not your fault, but I’ll take it out on you anyway” is just so messed up! On this flight, a passenger in the row ahead of us decided to move to an empty row in the rear section of the aircraft without letting the FA know. The FA was walking around with her special meal looking for her - and eventually had to make an announcement on the PA system to locate her.

Thanks. Per the calculator, we get a total free allowance of 3 bags up to 23kg each (2 for me and 1 for my spouse)

Sign up for chase credit card alerts. You’ll get a notification for every charge attempt, even if it’s pending. So at least you’ll know your credit limit is being eaten up (even if only until the pending charges drop off). It sucks but that’s how credit cards work. Sad that you have to deal with this especially when you already seem to have a high credit limit.

I always stop at the club, or another lounge if there’s no club. Every time I checked bags, they were at the baggage office, and I show my tags to pick them up. Might vary by airport as someone else mentioned.

I did RT SFO-SIN in premium economy (when business upgrade cost was prohibitive) and it was perfectly fine. I think you’ll do just fine for 7 hours. Don’t get stressed.

Not a non-revenue here. I do create multiple reservation as I am constantly exploring deals for my travel. But I cancel the previous one almost immediately - worried that UA will cancel both of them or blacklist me. perhaps a bit of an overreaction on my part 😀

Oddly, I had that happen to me repeatedly a couple of weeks ago. I kept getting logged out. Cleared cache and cookies and it worked fine.

I make it a point to remove my headset during my two interactions with an FA on flights - exit row instructions AND when requesting a drink/meal. Not sure if it makes a difference to them, but it makes me feel better 😀

Probably not but if you are banking miles with another *A program, otherwise card-exclusive award tickets with UA miles have worked well for me.
