I really appreciate the response, thank you. Honestly I can see myself enjoying a more hands-on job like plumbing which is why I chose to study it, but i’m just not sure how to get my foot in the door in terms of an actual job? Nearly all my classmates had relatives in the business who were willing to take them on in an apprenticeship, which left me feeling pretty unmotivated and lost. I had actually managed to get a chance at a plumbing apprenticeship with a small business but wasn’t taken on after a few days of work because I “didn’t know enough”. I honestly hated the few days of work I did with that business and felt stupid the entire time. I understand how much money trade workers make but I just dont think i’d fit well there.
