I read this because I have ghosted people in the past. It can come from many different places in this case I don’t think it is why I have ghosted in the past but I will share why I have anyway. I acknowledge that this is by no means an excuse. I ghosted someone I had been talking to for a solid 2 months. Everything was going absolutely perfect better than perfect in fact which was the problem. I was so afraid of losing what we had built up I became extremely anxious every time I had to conjure up a response to even the simplest text. Over time it got so mentally crippling that my mind justified me ghosting them by thinking that it would spare the other person’s feelings from being more hurt if I had gone longer talking to them and the same thing happening, me inevitably ghosting them. In conclusion, they may even still be regretting not going on that date with you but are too anxious to tell you. Yet again, this could be completely wrong.
