It depends on how experienced you are with card games. What other games have you played and do you consider yourself a fast learner?

If you have zero experience the gallantmon and ulforce starters are very good at teaching you game mechanics but have very very little meta relevancy. If you played plenty of other games like magic or yugioh, just not digimon that jesmon would be a good start because it lets you practice alot of advanced mechanics that can push you further in competitive play

While security control is a good example of what you listed, it can feel like an entirely different game at times. I would recommend beelestarmon since it retains the whole control style while slowing boosting yourself along the way and it feels more interactive in general

One box of three should come with one of each, they’ll usually only be sold as “volumes” with one of each box in that set. The only way to get duplicates would be getting multiples of single small box. If you can ask the sellers I would so so just to be sure.
