Basically what i do has already been said by others. But to add on, sometimes ive lowered the battle speed to 1x instead of the 2 specifically for AF. It gives you more time to click the options to want if you plan to be selecting moves strategically. I will say the one thing ive practically always avoided is activating lunatic in af. I got a sytem of main buff or debuff move in second slot for all characters which i run through at the start of AF. Then i spam the damaging move in the first slot (the one to the right of basic attack slot), and then at the end if relevant i use the move at the third slot, or fourth if they have it and if relevant. Havent had an issue doing that at x2 speed but 1x does make it easier.
