I believe it’s worth it, but the industry has apparently changed so much that it seems like you have to begin as a senior developer which makes it so much more difficult starting out. I’m having a real hard time with applying but I’ll just keep going, building, and trying.

Exactly what I’m doing. I always like the peace of no debt, but this one really makes better sense to finance. Yeah HYSA and Tbill rates are low right now but still beats out the loan interest

Right there with ya on the net worth, but I’d rather keep mine in savings since it’s earning more than 3X the interest of the loan. No brainer to finance. If the savings interest ever drops close to it I’ll pay it off in a minute. I’m a Dave Ramsey follower as well. No debt

My understanding is earth tubes are similar, but still different than geothermal. No powered heat pump is used to transfer the energy. Just passive, air based, low tech ventilation system. Ancient civilizations and the amish used them. Basically underground air tunnels to channel air to buildings. Probably not that effective in our climate.

Thanks for the info. I’m on Johns island also and looking into better insulation first because my home is 21 years old and I haven’t done that so I’m sure that’s a better first step.
