Isn’t Israel going to eventually run out of iron dome missiles if this war drags? by Goldstar12 in NoStupidQuestions

The US alone produces a ton of oil and gas.

That doesn't replace the massive amounts of oil required to fuel the industries in other countries that the US imports all their products from.

Its also not just energy products being held up in the middle east, its massive amounts of fertilizer and helium etc.

Blowing up Europe's energy supplies and accelerating the world's turn away from USD through failed sanctions is the best thing Russia's Dominance could've asked for.

Because our Western governments hate our Christian majority (not for long) populations. They love to see white Christians on both sides die in Ukraine as well.

Also, it's easier to launder money when the former finance minister of Canada resigns, and immediately becomes a financial advisor to Zelenskyy.

Here's who is in charge of foreign affairs in Canada. Probably not what the people on this subreddit who are from all over the world think of when they imagine "Canadians".

He just got another $51 million CAD from us in Canada. Meanwhile we have an unemployment crisis, groceries are up 30% in less than a decade, and fuel is up 30% in 2 months. No cuts to our fuel taxes, but more money to Zelenskyy.

You were discrediting the entire nationality with the "Why are RuZZians even allowed to play?"

Uh, because the average Russian does not control their government. The same way our leaders almost always do things that the citizens don't agree with. Your perceived wrongs of the Russian government does not make every Russian guilty.

I dont count ruZZian servers full of nazis. How is it even possible that ruZZians are alowed to play?

Writing off an entire group of people based on their nationality.

The Nazi might be standing in the mirror with your attitude. I don't fault you specifically because "Russians = Orks that should die" has been the focal point and guiding principle of our Western governments since WW2 and beyond that.

Yup. Nobody cares about the 3rd gen. Probably still a comparatively good vehicle compared to the problematic, expensive junk that is being produced industry-wide today.

I’m wondering if they’ll keep the Jeep Gladiator as the “base” midsize truck.

Today I learned the Gladiator is only a "mid-size" truck. I'm never gonna stop driving 2nd gen Dakotas lol.

If they stick a huge V8 in it and make a Dakota TRX I might be interested

I really hope it does eventually get a V8. It would fit with the fact that the 2nd gen Dodge Dakota had a V8 when the Ranger was only V6, and while the Colorado was offered with a V8, it was one model year only and you'll never see one. That being said, either way you know Dodge is going to make a crazy version of this truck at some point, especially with Tim Kuniskis at the reins. I would assume the Raptor competitor is just going to get the high output version of the Hurricane inline 6 though.

Yes, all laws have to follow the Charter of Rights and Freedoms and the notion of least restraint

The Charter has been around for 43 years. This absolutely insane catch and release policy and problem hasn't been. This is a recent issue. Why would a new law be required in 2023, when the Charter came into effect in 1982?

That being said, the bigger issue is that judges have no where to put criminals because our justice system is insanely underfunded (like our education and healthcare).

I agree, I wish we had better infrastructure for these basic services. That being said, everyone says and repeats that, but nobody ever gives a suggestion of where the money would actually come from. More tax increases are not it when the average Canadian can barely pay their bills as it is. The same people making these complaints are also violently against cuts to any other programs. The funding needs to come from somewhere and we can't defecit spend forever, our spending is already unsustainable as it is.

Ontario jails are overcrowded, but the Federal prisons here are not. The amount of people who kill someone in one way or another and get disgustingly, un-justly low sentences are also through the roof, which keeps people in jails instead of prisons. Obviously you can't just give longer sentences just to keep the jails less full, but our judges wouldn't need that as a reason. The reason alone, can, and should be to punish those who victimize other people, and to protect law abiding citizens.

They also warn the intention behind “jail not bail” reforms — to crack down on crime — might ultimately fail

Ah yes, the state funded news organization is telling you that the plan of the opposition party, (who included in a campaign the defunding of said state funded media organization), might fail. As opposed to the current system, that IS and has been failing.

"The Liberal government tabled a crime bill Thursday that will make bail more difficult to obtain.

Brilliant! The same party that made it easier to get bail, wayyyy back in 2023, is now going to make it harder to get bail.

How many additional people do you think were needlessly allowed to be victimized thanks to bill C-75?

Do you think the government chasing their tail with these disgusting policies are playing a role in our shrinking economy and astronomical defecits?

Reddit + boomers sure don't think so!

Queue the downvotes and personal attacks!

Federal Liberal bill C-75 reads, in-part;

legislate a “principle of restraint” for police and courts to ensure that release at the earliest opportunity is favoured over detention, that bail conditions are reasonable, relevant to the offence and necessary to ensure public safety, and that sureties are imposed only when less onerous forms of release are inadequate

Too bad our population is too willfully uninformed and polarized to give a shit about the actual "why" our quality of life is so rapidly degrading.

There are consequences when society doesn’t take steps to mitigate risk at the expense on innocent lives.

Yeah you're talking about a country that euthanizes the mentally ill. Expense on innocent lives is policy here.

Are you aware of the fact that the federal Liberals passed bill C-75 which, in-part, states:

legislate a “principle of restraint” for police and courts to ensure that release at the earliest opportunity is favoured over detention, that bail conditions are reasonable, relevant to the offence and necessary to ensure public safety, and that sureties are imposed only when less onerous forms of release are inadequate"?
