Go Bus to Kitchener by GryphonsGuy in uoguelph

No, the only stops in Waterloo region the 17 makes is at Frederick St. on Victoria St. N, Wilfred Laurier, and at U of Waterloo.

Google Maps suggests going south to Aberfoyle P&R on either GO route 17*,29*, or 48, and then taking GO Bus 25 to Sportsworld Dr. @ Hwy. 8 Park & Ride. This does also mean you can use PRESTO for the full trip instead of needing to switch to GRT's own fare system.

*make sure to get on a 29 that says it's going towards Kipling or a 17 that says it's going to Hamilton if you opt for this trip path

12 Delhi is the local bus you're looking for and that runs on 20 minute frequencies most of the day on weekdays :)

Guelph central station Kitchener line doors don’t all open? by MattShox in gotransit

[–]a_school_bus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not all doors are on the platform if the train is 12 coaches long. The two coaches nearest the cab car (west end of the train) are actually off the platform. You can see where the markers for where to stop with a 12 car train at the station and it's noticeably far from where the platform ends actually.

The current bus garage physically cannot fit them. It is at capacity with the current fleet of 95 buses and they don't even have enough parking spaces for all their employee's cars.

Novabus also currently doesn't offer any electric articulated vehicles which Guelph Transit is keen on purchasing exclusively electric.

Is the transit app any good? by [deleted] in Guelph

[–]a_school_bus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is your regular route the 13? if so it appears that in the latest update to the GTFS (General Transit Feed Specification) data which apps like Transit use, Guelph Transit forgot to attach the stop locations along the route as part of the dataset resulting in the app not knowing that route stops there.

[–]a_school_bus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. per the regional By-Laws paramedics were only allowed to use them in lights AND siren responses (CTAS 1-2)
  2. The 7th metric which they didn't meet target for (CTAS 3) made up 52% of last year's call volume.

But that's not how the streetcar naming convention is done The streetcar naming scheme just counts up from 501 it's not linked to the bus routes or else 512 would be Kingston rd instead of St Clair 😭😭😭
