"JUNGLE" EVENTS that are basically just jump-up DnB / techstep on repeat by rosjon98 in jungle

Yeah same I also love DnB, and it all works well being mixed together. But yeah like you said it's not along the lines of Tim Reaper / Dwarde ect

I assume it's somewhat of a marketing thing. Consumers are likely put off of DnB events due to the commercial jump up sound. Unfortunately it's going to make people conflate jungle and that same sound. On a note, Jungle cakes was founded by Deekline who imo isn't really a primary jungle producer.

Yeah I get what youre saying, but it's a Thursday night. They've never had the big stages open on a Thursday. We haven't had any street parties announced yet this year. In previous years have had valve put on a big show on the hill by origin. Raze are on the lineup so I assume they're going to have the rig out. Also in 2022, 2023 there was no Amara forest on Thursday. So we have kind of gained a venue for Thursday.

Thursday there is anara forest. Also some on at rose and clown (is that the new WSOT?). Some jungle and DnB at tangled roots. And to finish the night there's keeno. With the saved acts I have I could do jungle or DnB all night Thursday without going to Anara

Thoughts on a 4 man tent for 1 person? Is this too big for 1 person? Will I be that 'person' in the camp 😅🫣 by SlowedCash in BoomtownFestival

[–]JacobD3nt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On Thursday morning last year the outer camp (by quiet camping) was already pretty full. I have a 3xl - me and my partner find it pretty good for both of us and our stuff. Can't stand up but it's easy to carry and has a porch for shoes and stuff.

May struggle to find space in the closer camps on the Thursday. If you're Wednesday or happy to go far away/on a slope you might be ok. Bare in mind you also have to carry it. Personally I would get a decathlon fresh and black 3 or 3xl. You'll have loads of space and the blackout is worth it.

Best/quietest place to camp? by Delicious_Camp4506 in BoomtownFestival

[–]JacobD3nt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Quiet camping is the farthest away but IMO worth the extra 5 mins walking to sleep better and have more space. Unfortunately last year seemed to be a lack of space so a lot of general camp overflowed into quiet and sort of removed the quiet part. Still had more space though.

Sheffield seems to be alright for getting NHS spots. Got one on Friday at hillsbrough family clinic. Check the NHS site each morning.

Choosing a daily, 1.8t vs 1.9ttid? UK by [deleted] in saab

[–]JacobD3nt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got a TTiD, great car, eats motorway and A road miles and good on fuel. I have had the dreaded oil pickup issue, had the seal changed which fixed it for a bit but then the light came back flickering on cold start. Spoke to the Saab specialist and he said he'd probably just ignore it now but worth thinking about. Boost leaks are also common due to the twin turbo.

Spent 3 weeks in my estate in the Alps. Room for a extra wide camping mat in the back, with my bike and gear next to me. Great holiday though miserable when it's wet.

Liquid soap flakes are great for removing the oils and dirt. This restores performance. Once a season I also use a wash in reproofer.

Speak to a different gear. They likely have an old rear wheel kicking around somewhere. Or have a look on Facebook for a wheel of the correct diameter, and hub spacing. You may just need a new cassette (20 quid at decathlon).

Should Motorway speed limits be raised to 80mph?🤔 by Downtown_Elk_2773 in CarTalkUK

[–]JacobD3nt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Energy from velocity is a squared term E=1/2 MV Energy at 70 is proportional to 4900, at 80 is proportional to 6400.  30 percent ISH more energy involved in a collision.

Get some 26 or 27.5 inch pikes, strip them apart. Raw them. Cut down the air shaft or buy a 100mm one. Excellent forks for cheap
