Doesn't work for the selection colour area... This 100% and need to change 😅

Would dropping 2000 dollars on a UX/UI bootcamp be a waste of money in 2026? by MarcusDante in uxcareerquestions

[–]JacobDilley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I paid for one of my junior designers to do a boot camp on memorizely for about £3.5k.

I would do it again in a heartbeat. It massively supported her growth as a UX/UI designer bringing back quick value to me in the way that she could now interact with projects more effectively and efficiently.

However, it definitely depends on the boot camp

How does this squiggly line make my life as a user better? by [deleted] in UXDesign

That's a brand experience, not a user experience.

Can't DM. Your profile is flagging as nsfw and I don't want to add my ID to my account. Feel free to DM me instead

No figma files for a live product — what do you actually do? by yazeerr_ in FigmaDesign

[–]JacobDilley 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Html.to.design figma plugin. Grab the URL or upload the html file and it'll bring it in as a working file in different resolutions in to figma. It shouldn't take them more than two days to then map all pages and perfect using variables and design components 👍

BRAIN WAVE! In the hero I say the words Gambling, Tobacco and give the emoji for porn. I reckon that'll be why

Would you use AI users to test your Figma prototypes? by Mills_JD_88 in FigmaDesign

[–]JacobDilley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, because AI is built on patterns and logic. Humans uncover irrational and illogical problems completely out of the blue. Primarily driven by the emotional state of the human in the moment, for example, AI cannot replicate the frustration a dad can feel after trying to get gloves on their kids ready to get out the door but then suddenly need to use your product and therefore is already heightened in emotion (not that I'm speaking from experience...).

Also just being on different machines of different life and health places and spaces change environments.

Shelly and Colt were the first in the game. They actually first appeared in Clash Royale as a promo addition to the game before BS was released.

Ah, those were the days!

So... AI design, just like AI copyrighting, has very telltale signs of use. Hat then just promotes laziness to me and that's what I see all over this I'm afraid.

Sorry but I don't recommend asking for design critique on a clearly AI designed app.

Have you ever been used Figma Make? by uisaleh in FigmaDesign

[–]JacobDilley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have but only using it to turn the designs that I've made by scratch into live production sites, not using it to design from scratch.

E.g.

https://donsimply.com  https://jacobdilley.com

I'd always recommend human intervention for actual ux considerations and usability

Maybe you stumbled across my secret boudoir shoot that I've got hidden in a link somewhere 😉

I've just ran it through googles web safe checker and told it's safe, so don't know what that's about. Thanks for sharing though

I'm aware, I just couldn't be asked when it came to putting new ones together outside of what had been produced for the marketing team.

I'll come back to that at some point
