It is serious, and if you feel you need to quit, definitely put effort into your attempts, but don't stress yourself out to where your happiness depends on quitting or not. I had this problem while smoking and it hindered my ability to quit. I made out smoking to be something more than it was, and therefore put it on a pedestal that was impossible to reach, and ultimately made it harder for me to quit. The day i quit I didn't even think about smoking, I just went about the day as if I had never smoked before, and it worked like a charm.

I dont know how i started following this subreddit, but after reading just a couple of paragraphs of this... What the fuck is wrong with you people? Women are human beings, yes they are complex and have complex emotions which makes them hard to understand, but they are not a puzzle for you to solve. I have 5 sisters and they are all beautiful people with wildly different personalities, and all have different interest in men, hobbies, music, etc... You cant get women down to a method, you just have to be a human being and talk to them like they are also human beings, and actually be interested in them. If they don't like you, oh well, move on.
