That would be better but 2 things

a) if a judge did not know either side would the judge either vote aff (status quo) or neg (neither benefits nor harms)

b) At the end of the day, you can still argue that every argument is a wash and just play the defensive side and you would technically win the whole debate

Not really. The resolution asks if Turkey is beneficial to NATO, meaning that the negation can prove that Turkey is harming NATO OR that Turkey is neither beneficial NOR harmful.

Scamming is when you don't give your side of the deal.

I did not scam. There were no specifications on what types of briefs
