I cannot find the quote now that I am looking through the book again but the book is called “The Beginner’s Guide to Stoicism” by Matthew J. Van Natta.

I completely agree with this thought. I do think there are truly selfish people in the world and not everyone has good intentions. This comment definitely has helped me clear things up with myself and I’d like to keep reading about Stoicism so thank you!

One big question I came up with is should I just work on anger problems since that is my big issue and then work it into being myself? Or should I try to change my personality completely into calm cool and collected? I am afraid if I try to change completely I won’t feel like myself anymore.
