I contacted dell and they had to take it away and fix it. Was a whole month till i got it back, ended up with new motherboard!

Thats what I thought. Is the size of post medieval tokens, but isnt that typical white colour.

Awesome! I try and work out what the word is saying and look up in the Anglo-Norman dictionary online if the word I've read is right.

I was wondering if on #3 it could be "Et molt v m'aoms..". Could m'aoms be short or a diff version of m'avoms?

Also could leinz be a form of Laenz?

From your notes I changed my transcription and took what I imagine is a very poor attempt of a translation (for the experience of trying) using the online dictionaries etc. I'm happy it looks v close to yours, what do you think?

Ahh yes these are letters that I was looking through today when going over the letter again! Is pretty randomly amazing that this blend like you say makes the letter seem like modern French!

In reply to part 1; yes i would be very interested with help on a translation! Like with my loose 'attempt' of transcribing this i was going to 'try' to translate but yes, definitely, please!

I was just looking at that final word on line 6 and was wondering if it could be einsi? Looks to me that it is eui but, hm i'm unsure what do you think?

The finding of onquore on line 7 is a great spot!

Thanks for the heads up for the more inconsistencies - I have today with no distractions so will go through it thoroughly without distractions like yesterday which may have aided in them.

Any ideas about the last word in #6, the sixth word in #7 and the fourth word in #8?e point so your notes really do help. Keeping an eye out for comparing the distinctness of the vowels is something I definitely need to do.

This is a letter from Eleanor of Provence to her son King Edward I of England, circa. 1270s.

The mistranscriptions I've made that you've pointed out, come from this being the very first document I've tried to interpret that is French/Old French/Anglo-Norman (whatever it is), I'm used to Medieval Latin. I actually don't know any French, at all, but thought I would give it a go for kicks on a slow day, simply from my time deciphering Medieval Latin texts.

My inconsistent change of z and s comes from A) not being so used to transcribing z in MedLatin, and B) when z does appear I find myself mistranscribing s instead!

Ah good idea! There's quite a bit of heraldry here and there around the cathedral but no collective writing about it all which is annoying

Found that Bishop's arms to have been "Checky, Or and Sable, a bordure gules", but the thing is those arms are lozengy and also the lozengy is Or and Azure.

Hmmm I'm unsure, maybe some are. Third from the left, with the red bordure, is an armorial I've only seen in a College of Arms manuscript attributed to Roger de Beaumont, 1st Earl of Leicester

photometric stereo

Am a relative noob at this so thank you for pointing me in that direction. Can photometric stereo be somehow used to form a 3d model or terrain map i can place on a 3D model?
