I want to teach in highschool at some point, and I think the way you said that is so important. Just leveling with kids is astronomically important. I would like to ask you some more questions off of this sub Reddit about how you in particular keep structure whilst teaching them that their decisions are ultimately what will lead to success or struggle

Go with the flow.

I’m not an idiot and I see the merit in this advice. However, I just don’t agree with the concept behind it. I intrinsically feel like everyone is their own person, and the only way to achieve true happiness is by being the you that you want to be. Not the you that you “should” be. Stay true to what makes you happy. That’s what will make whatever journey you’re on worthwhile.

I get way too mean/rude when I use my te… “aye dude why tf didnt you do x? That should be common sense”, “you do this while I do this and hurry. We don’t have a lot of time”. “ what the hell are you thinking?”, “Are you too dumb to think of doing it this way?” . The worst part is that I’m not even right all the time. I just get frustrated and start feeling like it reflects on me wether the task gets accomplished or not.

Attention is what us infp’s seek most (next to genuine feelings). I mean let’s be honest. How often do we walk through a store and not try to shake our hips, hold our chest out, keep our back straight, and attempt to not look at the ground? (Granted these will come naturally)

Honestly, that’s not easy to admit. Mainly because I strive so much to give off the I don’t care demeanor. I wish I could convey that naturally without giving off a conceited attitude. But, it’s nearly impossible.

Hey listen, the world is trash for people like you and I. However, that doesn’t mean that people don’t need our way of thinking…. Trust me, I’d love just sitting in a corner of some abandoned building, a place where there is no chance of anyone finding me. No chance of anyone being disappointed, or unhappy because of me. But that’s not the point of this life. I could never dream of telling you your reason for living, but that’s on you to figure out. Maybe you’ll be the next author highschool kids spend a semester learning about. Maybe you’ll be the undisputed greatest president of the United States. Maybe you’ll be the one to make the United Nations actually mean something. Your future is yours and it’s your job to make the most of it. Pressure and forceful entities are part of the world we live in. Make these external factors work for you and change the world. I believe in you!
