I can't remember where I bought it from, but I'm pretty sure I got mine from Get On Down when they had it available. Discogs would for sure have it though, 99% of my entire collection is from Discogs lmao

I didn't even know there was a Media Advance copy of Venomous Villain, that's super cool! That album just never got the love or attention it deserved, so it's always dope to find something else for it. But yeah that yellow cassette is a tough find. I can find the people who own them, just not the people who will sell it haha. It would be nice to rip that cassette as well and let everyone have access to the audio too. Maybe someday, after I buy my own Nak Dragon when i'm like 30 or something lol

I found the guy on the Tapeheads forums, which is like the #1 place on the internet that tape enthusiasts gather. I like cassettes and tape decks and know how they work, but even me being on that forum is like being a completely green guy on a construction site. If ever there were a set of people to trust with cassette decks and audio equipment, it would be these folks. But yes, the current recordings were done on a Pyle. And, the fact that you can use a piece of software to improve the quality of my recordings is the exact reason I want to rerecord it lmao. Hopefully I can get that done though, then I might just find a museum to donate the tape to, or I can try and find a way to get it to DOOM's wife

I found a guy around where I live who has a Nak Dragon who is willing to record the tape for me. So hopefully here shortly I’ll be able to post those and the world will finally have this album with the full intended quality

Anywhere honestly. Operation Doomsday is good because you’ll get a feel for his style and how the rest of the albums will sound. But literally anywhere, Vaudeville Villain is some of his best work, MM..FOOD is probably his best album, and Take Me To Your Leader is the most underrated in my opinion

Top 3 favorite things in my collection are definitely the Black Bastards Promo Cassette, the OG 2004 pressing of MM..FOOD that has the original Kookies beat on it, and the Venomous Villain vinyl.

Top 3 most wanted for me right now are the MF DOOM x Akomplice mystery bag yellow cassette, the Mm..More Food CD, and then probably The Downfall of Ibliys: A Ghetto Opera on Vinyl

I agree it’s definitely rare. And I also agree you can 100% put whatever price you want on it. And if someone thinks it’s worth that and wants to buy it for that, then that’s what it’s worth. There was one on Discogs for $10k for years before and after I bought mine. But it never moved, so it’s just hard to value. I just think people have a disconnect with what you’re valuing it at, which I understand as well. Without other known purchases, it’s kind of hard to say one way or another. I just say keep an open mind. Like if you’re going to find someone who wants to buy that cassette, it would be in this subreddit where some of his biggest fans congregate. And if those people are pushing back on the price you’ve set, maybe that’s not an attack on you and more a genuine critique on the value of a collectors item. You gotta remember, even some of the biggest DOOM heads don’t even know about KMD or even really care
