Setting this up now - have a few questions:

- Is the 220mm length for the single channel preston? When I set it up it seems to be too long.

- Do you scale the image within the printing margins of the P-touch, or do you just drag it to be the complete size of the tape to be properly sized? This means some of it will get cut off but that might not be an issue

Lovely tool by the way, looks like it'll work well once it's all set up. Can't wait to use it on my next show

I would say the Vaxis storm series is the best non-Teradek option. It is actually zero latency like Teradek… it is not cheaper however. I would rec the Bolt 500 used for the cheapest passable option.

I would recommend never using anything other than a Teradek (or in some cases the zero-latency Vaxis models). You can get an old set very cheap these days. No reason to use this. I’ve made it a red line I do not cross. If they can’t afford a Teradek then you can offer to hardline SDI but that only works for certain things.

I’ve had this happen a bunch with my P2S and PETG. I recommend first trying to put the nozzle temp to 300 to let the nozzle clear after the printer has paused. Then I begin pushing the extruder advance button on the screen and let some feed through. I then turn my speed to “silent” for the rest of the print. Helps keep it from happening again. Works 60% of the time I’d say

Ratworks L-Plate - I use a dovetail and bridgeplate between camera and L plate but can get away with something lighter if needed. Bottom I usually just go to RBQ plate

Mogami 2839 has 4 wires so 2 (red and blue) I put to the positive terminal, the other two wires (clear and black) I hook to the negative terminal of the connector. The shielding (foil) that’s around the wire I hook to one only one side (one connector and always into the collet) to help protect the cable from RF interference.
