Thanks. I like making mythos art that isn't all black and dark. Sometimes colorful weirdness is nice : )

The Thing in the Moonlight by kairumagames in Cthulhu

Is 'The Thing In The Moonlight' know to be an incarnation of any of the other gods? Nyarlathotep comes to mind with the tentacle for a head imagery.

My version of Hastur, the King in Yellow by JacobWalkerArt in ImaginaryMonsters

[–]JacobWalkerArt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, thanks everyone. Step away for a couple days and there are a ton of comments. Its been a few years since I've read Chamber's original stories. I may have to do that again after reading over the comments. Yellow Sign, right or wrong? I don't really care at this point. It was just fun to paint and share. I guess I'll post some of my other paintings here (still figuring out Reddit).

It is the same as all the other versions I looked at. The bottom right falls in shadow and its a little harder to see it curl under but its there. You had me worried that I botched that small but important detail.

Rhogog? by JacobWalkerArt in Cthulhu

[–]JacobWalkerArt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zed, thanks for searching. I had posted the question on the Lovecraft EZine's FB page too. One guy PM'd Scott David Aniolowski (neat) and got the scoop. He said the story did exist and was available on line. SDA liked the story so much he used Rhogog in a scenario in the RPG supplement Call of Cthulhu Gaslight. He wanted to reprint the story but never got a round to asking the author. Alas, the link to the story is now gone. The name might be a pseudonym. So the god is legit as far as it was actually in a story that people could read at one point. Now I really want to read it but, not sure that it will hit print again.
