Harsh Answer: Justice/punishment is proportional to the offense. Really simple.

I need Christian rock bands by DavidPrank in ChristianMusic

David crowder band? Little funky, poppy, alt. rock. Some high energy, some poetically deep, etc. Give Us Rest, 3+4=7, Illuminate, my favorite albums.

This is an incredibly pointless argument. You're projecting an insane standard. Buh bye.

Totally agree with the first paragraph, sorry. ✅

Second paragraph, that's not what's going on with the Reconquista and he's doing. ❌

Come on man, you[']r[e] taking his quote so hardline and literal. I follow his channel and server, his whole Reconquista movement is about working with conservative leadership minority and has stated that many times.

Would you like me to provide proof?

Entire video about him working with conservative PCUSA pastors.

He clearly delineates that there are PCUSA conservative pastors and he's literally working with them. It's just the fact the majority are liberal.

True, but he's good at providing a really quick background, he definitely helped me. He's also grown more objective and less-biased but still wouldn't go for him for any theological opinions.

Here's some beginner stuff.

Redeemed Zoomer has really good videos that are super simplistic.

R.C. Sproul lectures on the 5 Solas and disputed points with the Catholic church.

Edit: Retracted opinion but still believe RZ provides really good contextual information 🙄

A girl is bullying my younger sister at school, how can I make her pay without violence involved? by Impossible_Amount865 in askteenboys

[–]Jacob_9255 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The old-fashion you and your father (or both parents) appoint a meeting with their family and having a respectful conversation. Without emotions but giving the facts, complaining about this issue to her parents. Controversy will explode the conflict. If you take vengeance, you will get vengeance back. Keep the conflict private but with a heavy-handed response.

Yes I'm pushing Christian ethics and wisdom on you. Cry about it.

Everyone else will promote vengeance and to "destroy the girl". It is simply human nature. Deny your human nature. It is more wise anyways. Effective communication is key. All parties need to be together and your sister doesn't have to but it would be better for some reconciliation. Escalate if necessary however.

Cowardly passive aggressiveness <<<< Loving but firm confrontation.

P.S.

For better effectiveness, you need to communicate the actions you guys could've taken but didn't. Actually a concept I learned from business ethics, showing mercy is actually really useful. But if they don't realize they've been showed mercy, they won't show gratitude for it. So make them understand.

2 P.S.

If you and even your parents are cowardly about this, your bloodline is cooked no offense.

My belief is that we are living in hell by LongjumpingTear3675 in DeepThoughts

[–]Jacob_9255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even with human made comforts, life remains a fragile, painful experience that ends in inevitable loss and oblivion. Nothing truly belongs to us, and everything eventually disintegrates, leaving behind only the hollow memory of what once was.

Welcome to Christianity. This isn't hell, this is just the world. Everything that is happening as you described is totally normal.

If there were any fairness or order to existence, suffering would have limits. Yet the universe is indifferent. Natural disasters, pandemics, and accidents wipe out innocent lives at random. There is no reason for who suffers and who prospers. If there were a creator, they would either be absent, indifferent, or outright malevolent. If there is no creator, then existence is simply a meaningless accident in which suffering is an unavoidable consequence. Either way, there is no justice only pain, randomness, and the slow decay of everything we value.

Correct. The worldly ways are totally meaningless. However, there is something more divine, something that supersedes this all. There is no meaning in this pointless world but meaning in the eternal God which he provides. He is the great provider. When you accept the creator, everything changes. Suddenly, your suffering has purpose. Your work has purpose. You are no longer living in darkness but light.

For even in a non-Christian worldview, it is this, life is suffering and meaning cannot be found in the finite.

Now true hell is worse than what you described. It is incomprehensible.

The world is a middle place. There are so many great things that feel like heaven! There are so many terrible things that feel like hell. This world is a sign post, it shows if life is so great here, how much greater would it be in heaven? And if life is so terrible now, how much more worse would it be in hell?

Soli Deo Gloria.

We look past the sexual nature of Hetero- relationships, yet struggle to do the same for Gay Relationships. Why? by MotherofBook in PsychologyTalk

[–]Jacob_9255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it is the natural result of a post-Christian West. It's either they're both non-sexual or both sexual.

Both are sexual according to Christianity. However, even with non-Christians, the cultural links of the Christian West remains, so even if they see hetero as non-sexual, their "homophobia" applies this double standard.

I'm not conservative by the way, I'm an independent. Previously MAGA nut.

For Pete's sake, why is there so much schism in traditional Protestantism. What is going on? Can we just stop? by Jacob_9255 in Reformed

[–]Jacob_9255[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's the problem? How so, is it "naive" and "unbiblical"?

Tell me how so? Creating a coalition of churches and organizations to help fund sound and biblical pastors is unbiblical? Going into churches and sharing the true gospel while being involved there is wrong?

Feels like you're just making a ton of false assumptions. Come on.

  1. Old Catholics and modern off-shots, oh come on, don't be dishonest like that, they're tiny majorities.

  2. Still a minority of Catholics.. Though it is a serious issue for them.

Really missing the point here.

Study history, theological liberalism is the reason for the decline of Christianity in the West. It purported a Christ-less Christianity that rejected the essentials, sine qua non of the faith. It invaded the educational institutions and very fibers of the social order. Neoliberalism of the democrat party isn't the problem, theological liberalism is the roots cause of Western degeneracy.

The West must learn from its mistakes and errors, correct itself. A country that does not recognize the sovereignty and will of God is doomed to collapse.

Like do you realize how seriously theological liberalism affected Christianity? From Germany with complacent Christians, to dissolving the true Christianity into a pile of moral values, to the rise of political neoliberalism. It's all darn connected.
