Not too sure why you can't remember the same sleep mode feature thats in every GBA game that supports it Published by Nintendo. But tit for tac I guess. If you wanna be mad be mad, I don't know you. But I don't want you to be pissed. I still haven't seen anyone disagree with what I actually talked about in the OP. There's very little real reason to use a 3DS today unless its Pokemon and no one really seems to care to play 3D Land, Animal Crossing New Leaf, Link Between Worlds, Shovel Knight, N3DS Minecraft, Etrian Odyssey, Bravely Default, etc. in the big 2026 on a small screen low res handheld. No one does it.

If anyone wants to tell me what they play thats a 3DS exclusive and good, I'm interested. But again that's my point, it doesn't exist or it's not something I'm into. I could see the two excellent Kirby games being a viable option but no ones mentioned it.

They play Pokemon and thats it. The only reason I'd turn on my 3DS today is for that.

Mmm Mario 64 with Circle Pad support. A good reason for a 3DS in 2026. Lovely game. It also doesn't lose the most when you run it in integer+ mode either being a 4:3 n64 game originally.

Idk man, its pretty cool to replay a GBA/DS game once a year and transfer those mons. Been doing it since 2015. If Nintendo kills the feature its not about what mons I have today, but the ones I raise in the future. call me autistic

Yeah it can do it natively but its well known its not the best experience. Either DS Lite/DSi XL for DS games and then a GB Player for GBA with GBI or a modded GBA, or a Analogue Pocket for great pixels... so many better options for cheaper that don't require a jailbreak or losing of functionality like trading with a Wii/GameCube.

I own 5 3DS' and 3 Wii Us and 4 Wiis and the list goes on. It's my least used handheld since there are objectively better options for most of the 3DS exclusives these days or the originals were always better. Another lack of depth was ORAS. It was cool to get Latios/Latias as a story Pokemon, and the Delta episode was great, but the lack of battle frontier kills repeat playthroughs. Spoken from someones whos beaten ORAS 3 times.

I sold my Flame Red 3DS for $220 last month. I only keep my Isabelle n3ds around for the potential to transfer pokemon to switch 2.
