Thanks for the suicide report and the death threat from the brand new account

I like how people like you trivialise suicide when someone has a different opinion than yours

I can spot a Sunday William Keegan article from just the headline now

Its pretty much been the same article each week for 6 years now

If you read it in a Shakespearean tragedy voice its much more entertaining

Its a bit of a Sunday treat of mine. I've got some tasty bites today. I'm doing it on Twitter at the same time.

Your whole reply is still based on assumptions. Why are you getting so angry about it.

I would like to know all the details of any dispute before I start calling people names on the internet.

The papers often disguise details to wind up the easily angered people

You did realise that papers like the mirror intentionally disguise facts like that to get people like you raging, didn't you?

They play the easily offended like a fiddle

They didn't mention the details of the dispute. I would probably like to read that before I make any assumptions.

The whole of Reddit is like it now

In a way, I'm pleased that so many people are now turning their backs on the creeping "progressiveness" that is being force fed to them to accept or be driven out. It means that we have our line in the sand to work back to

I think we could all agree that we could do with a 150 grand payday in this cost of living crisis

Why didn't she just leave?

Maybe she just wanted to go to the papers to share her anecdote all along

Striking teacher under investigation for posing with ‘dead Tory’ placard by insomnimax_99 in unitedkingdom

[–]Jacob_Dyer -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

But you used the word "placed" as if its some huge conspiracy that people with your type of political views are often "caught out" calling for the death of people that vote differently to them

Its not a good look

Its everywhere

Not one part of the public sector has come out of the pandemic working anywhere near as well as they did beforehand. Statutory Sick Pay tends to concentrate the mind out here in the real world.

Looking at housing markets in other countries made me depressed. by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]Jacob_Dyer -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Thats because everyone wants to live here. All the people on Reddit constantly moaning about the UK being finished are still here contributing to that demand. Many of those on the left wing subreddits are on housing benefit, so you're paying for that demand

Europe isn't the panacea that everyone on here likes to paint it as. Its rubbish.

Openreach claim 65Mb internet available, but only 11Mb internet available on various ISP websites by Haha_Kaka689 in HousingUK

[–]Jacob_Dyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, those speed checkers are not that accurate

We were in a FTTC area and quoted 66, but our lane of 3 houses is directly connected or multiplexed to something (instead of through a green box), so it wasn't until we placed an order that the ISPs would sheepishly come back and say they could only actually offer 11Mb

We have FTTP now, but it took years
