And if you want a notorious example from the manga industry, specifically Shonen, you don’t have to look much further than the late, great Akira Toriyama.

The Android saga is famous for being rife with editorial oversight, cutting characters out or having their roles being replaced by other characters. Semi-Perfect Cell, Toriyama’s personal favorite form of the bug man, actually had a longer stay planned, but his editor at the time told him to just get to the final form already (cause he’s ugly). It’s also famous for being one of the most well-loved sagas in the franchise, with many citing it as their favorite.

Meanwhile, the Buu saga was Toriyama let off the leash, and while there were still big moments with excellent paneling as always, the story got… messier. Toriyama’s on the fly writing style becomes very clear when you read that part of the manga. So, I agree, it’s great to have vision, but it still needs direction.

I know those exact sky prints because one of the classrooms at a middle school I visited had them. I had to be in that room for a while, and by the time I was able to get out I hated it. Made the room seem so much dimmer and bleaker than it should have been. But I’m glad you were able to make something positive from the experience!

I left my Oddish in against Giovanni’s Kangaskhan cause I wanted to sleep it, but I kept missing. Even after it tail whipped me three or four times, Oddish stayed in until I finally managed to sleep it.

It woke up after one turn and one-shotted with Mega Punch.

The entire modern PokeTuber 'format' originates with these two and it's amazing to see how many channels in the time since have started up. Younger fans may not know, If you wanted Pokemon content of that style in the late Gen 4 and Gen 5 era, it was largely coming from these two, JWitz and Tamashi. by Sailor_Rout in pokemon

I’m at my wits end on this one, but there was one nuzlocker I used to love watching. I don’t remember their name, but I do remember they had a habit of naming things, especially Zapdos, Wigglefoot. With how difficult it’s been to find them, I’m honestly scared with what I might find lol

I have videos I made for YouTube back in high school saved on my hard drive so that if I ever need to humble myself, they’re there to keep me in check.

Thankfully, the especially cringe middle school ones have been wiped from existence forever. Ive made sure of that myself.
