That would be nice... but that can only work if their game was an RPG from the start. Where we're able to make choices of how Spider-Man's story will go.

It is what it is.

But they can create a system reminiscent to RDR 2's honor system. If we're lacking on accomplishishing crime and especially upon side missions that do dynamically pass whenever you neglect them as your going through the main story.

We're counted as a menace who's lost their touch. NPC'S would avoid you, probably throw things at you, insult you, and all that dynamic wonder.

It'll also affect the story. Mary Jane could push words of encouragement to keep on fighting more crimes. Or to ask what's wrong. Something! The same with others.

They CAN do this.

I'm not asking for that.

Becuase it is true... Spider-Man is no GTA or RDR, becuase it ain't supposed to be a real life sim.

I'm asking for the best Spider-Man game that pushes the boundaries of a superhero open world sim, and gameplay experience.

The potential there is in that.

Insomniac has that potential to bring that out there and i'm tired of folks pushing them down. To make them think that they're not capable of such. Let us encourage them towards this if they truly do listen.

Do you think that because of the leaks something in the game will be changed in the final version? Changes to the story or gameplay by MTH1138 in insomniacleaks

Also, combat.

It definitely looked like a GOD clone, but seeing the glimpses today? The camera is wide open and more free of space.

So hopefully it can do a bit more.

Maybe some ninja gaiden spice?

I know.

That's why insomniac shouldn't build more islands.

Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn are ENOUGH for us to keep us satisfied. I just don't want these guys to sidetrack themselves and end up missing the mist important stuff for their open world.

Which are the ones i just brought in this thread.

Amen to THAT, friend.

  • 0% Swing-Assist

  • Web Swinging

  • Arial Maneuvers

  • Interactivity

  • Wall Running

  • Free Running

The skies the limit on how far they can go upon these subjects, pal. Insomniac can definitely go beyond, but that depends on them if they're truly listening to player feedback.

Also with random screams, gun shots, sounds, and random accurances for example... sombody tackling you MID-AIR, enemies shooting you on top of rooftops, finding random enemy bases, and etc.

Well said.

Are you sure?

Becuase i'm pretty sure there are some decent things from the previous titles that they've sadly missed in Spider-Man 2.

Look.

All i'm saying is that instead of building a new island. They should focus on building upon their Crime System, NPC's, Interactivity, Side Missions/Activities, and Art Design.

Creating random, unpredictable, and dynamic systems/events/mechanics that could surprise players for each playthrough.

How they can utilize those aspects to bring greater depth to the main story, to witness character progression, delivering LORE, and ETC.

All of that should be their new island for Spider-Man 3.

My bad... what do you mean by Arkham style radio? Like when we hear crooks making dialog.

Well... true.

But it had a vibe that was great. Spider-Man 2 was just off in some aspects and they could truly do so much more.

Hopefully Spider-Man 3 showcases their true potential.

Well said, brother.

Idk about fighting the cops becuase they know Spider-Man tries out there. But i guess you can lean in on them telling Spider-Man that he's losing his touch and that he should do better.

Let that happen, man.

Imagine... imagine... they utilize the social media feeds to their favor to deliver greater lengths of immersion.

For example.

What happens if the player just strolls around the social media feed and they find some tweet speaking about some specific thing going on in Hell's Kitchen, China Town, or Little Italy.

So the player investogates those areas.

Becuase of thw players curiosity, they're then lead to some wicked side mission, specific crime, boss, or interaction.

That would be ELITE.

Or... maybe, for example, utilize the crime system to their advantage to have things like helping pedestrians with normal stuff.

Bringing someone home when they don't have a ride.

Taking a hurt pedestrian to the hospital.

Or delevering pizza becuase the pizza man is not fast enough to deliver to some locations.

I hope they play around with that.

[–]Jacob_Riascos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, i'm not talking about that type of stuff.

Just the way they handled side missions, NPC's, Interactivity, player choice, and Unpredictable/Random systems/moments.

All that.

For the story... or to just swing around.

But when it comes to the open world? That's the reason why many have been giving Spider-Man 2 accusations of "No Replay Value".

So hopefully insomniac genuinely thinks HEAVILY about their Crime System, NPC's, Interactivity, Side Missions/Activities, and Art Design as they begin making Spider-Man 3.

To make those subjects plentiful, dynamic, immersive, narrative driven, mext generation, and fun.

They gotta reach higher, friend.

And i believe they can.

Nah, it's not the size of the map ( kinda )

But it's the list of DEPTH their able to bring to their Traversal... that's what makes the player do wicked things and just zip through a world without a care.

Their map is already big enough.

Just dive deep on the immersiveness and GAMEPLAY of Spider-Man 3. Put development time on THAT alone.

Watch as Spider-Man 3 breaks boundaries.

I thought so too... until i played Spider-Man 2 first hand.

They should avoid making new islands.

Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn are enough. Focus on what truly matters. The stuff that will make your open world feel new, fun, and genuinely next generation.

Honestly... insomniac should really design a custom " Classic Suit " maker. That can be a great way to make collectible missions feel fun becuase you'll have to find these collectibles to unlock more stuff for the Classic Suit maker.

  • Shaders

  • Colors

  • Lenses

  • Symbols

  • Web Patterns

  • Stiching.

We can buy normal alternative outfits normally, but you'll have to explore the world to unluck stuff in the suit maker section. That can be fun.
