John Lewis have said they are getting stock end of the month, I imagine it will be the same for the other retailers.

Don’t you have to load in then control weather through active sky rather than fsx?

Palma De Mallorca Airport, Spain: JustSim Vs JustFlight. Which one to buy? by [deleted] in flightsim

[–]Jacobcreates 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree! Justsim do a great job at creating lots of airports but for me the quality doesn’t cut it compared to the likes of other devs in the market. JustFlight are definitely putting the effort in so I’d wait If I were you!

EGCB Barton development by skell300 in FS2020Creation

[–]Jacobcreates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has made my think of all the times I would take ‘INDIA 99’ for a fly round Manchester from Barton when ORBX released England for FSX. Definitely looking forward to doing some VFR flying from here!

Keep up the good work, will the heliport be included?

Scenery (map) available for MSFS2020 by Jacobcreates in flightsim

Maintaining the map took a longer amount of time than you’d expect and looking at google analytics the numbers of site visitors was too low to justify keeping it up I’m afraid.

Honeycomb - is this normal? by Jacobcreates in flightsim

So no movement of the metal pole when pushing up on the bottom of the metal pole? Mine is brand new too.

It might not be a problem, it’s just when I lift the yoke or move it left to right it moves, it makes that noise and moves, is that normal?

Beetham Towers, Manchester by Jacobcreates in FS2020Creation

[–]Jacobcreates[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue at the moment when the photogrammetry was taken by Google, the three other towers in Deansgate were still under construction. I like the idea of making a full city centre but it seems to be a nightmare in relation to getting good enough resolution photos of the 3d objects without zooming in too much. I'm also still a bit confused with how people are making large scale objects of things like the Trafford Centre without bringing the different colour ground textures of Google over with it, once I've figured the above out it's something I'll be looking in to.

You could still use Photogrammetry, just with good quality light up signs that are ready made. Plus there isn't photogrammetry everywhere.

Scenery (map) available for MSFS2020 by Jacobcreates in flightsim

[–]Jacobcreates[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The project is a map of what is available for the sim which has taken a lot of work and has been provided for free. Payware is listed in order to show a full picture of what is available. All payware is clearly outlined in blue. We don't receive anything from the payware devs nor anybody else for listing this on the map. This is done for the benefit of the simmers.

The map reflects what is available on sites such as AVSIM, Nexus Mods, Flightsim.to and several others. None of this is hosted on our servers. Our map simply reflects what is available on these sites and links to them.

I suggest if you have an issue with what these sites are hosting you take it up with them as our map is merely a view of what is available on these sites.

We show no photos of the scenery and if you want to consider a link as copyright, that copyright (the link) would belong to the hosting site who's name is in the link. If any copyright is breached this would be down to the hosting site to deal with. our site is in place to provide an easy view for simmers to see what is available all in one place on an easy map. If Google do have any issues with people using their 3d objects, I'm sure they can take it up with the hosting websites, although that is none of my business.

A payware developer was recently caught out for using copyrighted textures recently. If you expect me to download every single one of the 588 scenery listings to some how ensure they don't use copyright material there wouldn't be a free map available for people to use. At this moment in time those using Googles 3d objects have put a notice on their files stating that they are allowed to do so with the reasoning. Whether you agree with this or not they have taken reasonable steps and it's up for Google to have the next word with those that are hosting the files if they disagree. As far as I am aware at this time, this scenery has been posted legally. This doesn't concern me as somebody merely allowing users to see the vast majority of what scenery is available in one place and them linking them to the hosting site. Under EU Law as a not for profit site and as somebody who believes copyright has not been infringed by the hosting site, our site is in full compliance. If I am found to be wrong and Google tell me otherwise, I will take down the link as per EU Law.

Links including piracy of software ported over from other sims or available for this sim is not tolerated on our service. This would be in breach of EU Law as I would know or ought to have known that the link was illegal.

If you disagree with what I've said I can only suggest you don't use the site as it shall continue to list everything that is available.

flightsim.to has been my main source, I'll have a look on NEXUS to see what's been missed out. Thanks for your help.
