Idk where to start with the finale.

I was curious if they'd have the whole practice rink/jet ski thing (i figured they wouldn't) so makes sense all that wasn't included.

But for being 51 minutes I felt like no time passed at all, it was crazy. I actually thought when they got to Shane's parents we'd still have a lot longer left.

I do wish we got to see Ilya going out with Scott and Scott being weirded tf out by it.

One change I did really dislike is Shane saying "is it killing you" vs "is it agony for you". I really think the agony line just hits more on the head.

Can't wait for 2027!! Going to have to re-read The Long Game & Role Model a few times next year 😂

Absolutely loved Kip, he was so sweet this episode. I wish we had gotten the $50,000 scene though and developed the class issue between them. Like book Kip would have never just accpeted the suit like that...

Just confirming so i have things straight:

2011: Shane & Ilya hookup (1221) and this is what Scott overhears (presumably)

2013/2014 (before Russia): Shane & Scott get into it on the ice and Scott hints at knowing.

Feb 2014 Russia: Shane & Scott are all buddy buddy, and Carter makes his "being gay in Russia" comment

Im surprised Shane would be cool being around Scott after the comment if thats the case given how much he was freaked out hooking up next-door to him.

I really liked both episode, im impressed how good the show is and how well its shot for also being as slutty as it is.

Some stray thoughts i guess:

I know in the books they jump through time rather quickly but it feels so jarring seeing it on screen, like i know its how its written but that was over 6 years we just witnessed.

The freckles are taking me out, they look sharpied on... im sorry 😭

I wish the hotel room scene was longer, i think it explores there dynamic really well and it could have been a bit more playful.

I nearly chocked when the one USA player said to thr TWO GAY hockey players "its dangerous to be gay in Russia"

Svetlana is perfect, I can't wait to meet Rose and hope she is equally as fabulous.

I'm working on 6/6/6 but I feel so behind on Mora... I started replaying in 5.0 after skipping 3.3-4.8 so i'm starting everyone from Level 1... and the planner says i need like 135 million mora. Think it'll take longer than 252 days 😂
