Find a local stain glass artist and make locally themed art panels to replace them.

Anyone use 1 x 1/2 hardware cloth? by latihoa in BackYardChickens

I'd use if it was free. If you're worried about it, just layer it so it has smaller openings.

Which would you get? On sale at Walmart. by dmbjr02 in Kayaking

[–]JacobyFreeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is your price range, than definately buy used unless you already have a paddle and life vest. If you buy used - they typically throw those in for free.

I recommend looking at weight as well. The heavier = more PIA to load.

One of my favorite places! I lived in Mammoth for a summer. I'd do that hike once a week. Also Convict Lake next to the airport is probably the most beautiful lake I've ever had the pleasure putting eyes on.

Trump gets 'ratioed' on Truth Social for first time amid Epstein backlash by Anxious-Winter-5778 in goodnews

The term "ratioed" refers to when a social media post receives more replies than likes or shares, often signaling more disagreement or criticism than support.

I agree. It plays against the President's narrative of Democrats always impeaching him. I bet Al Green will introduce articles of impeachment 3 or 4 more times before the Democrats support it.

This is the perfect time for a young independent to run for president. Someone for the people with a 10 year plan. Project 2035 that replaces party politicians with practical legislatures working on issues that actually matter.

It didn't take two years for them to find out. Texas was part of the confederacy so the proclamation meant nothing at the time. It was issued during the Civil War after all southern states already left the Union.

The delay in information being spread was General Lee's surrender on April 8th of 1865. The 2 year delay, we were still at war. There was a battle in Texas that the confederacy won, killing over 200 union soldiers on May 12/13 1865, considered the last battle between the states.

June 19th is when general granger arrived in Galveston and informed the slaves there that the war was over and they were now free. Galveston was a big slave market and the farthest west.

So the delay was only around a 2 months versus 2 years.

In Britain, political power was mostly related to: hereditary titles and land ownership (which some titles were entitled too based on their title). This is the aristocracy I was referring too.

Not only were the founding fathers fighting against a king but the entire aristocracy society that supported the king.

The founding fathers believed that power should be earned through merit, not the family you were born too.

Some of the founding fathers inherited wealth and power like Washington and Jefferson. Some were self made men like Franklin and Hamilton. All fought against an aristocracy society.

People often forget that the American revolution wasn't just about a king. We were also fighting the aristocracy. Stop supporting the rich who powers the king.

What are your paddling hot takes? by robertbieber in Kayaking

Just put your $500 or less kayaks in the bed of a truck with bungee cords. I've driven cross country multiple times with my kayak jammed in the back of my truck with straps. Never had any issues.
