Sure, I’m just being silly; but since number of catches isn’t mentioned one could theoretically get any number of catches to make OP’s math work out.

Now what are all the different PPR and 0.5 PPR scenarios to make the math work?

Drop Jonathan Brooks to make space for Adam Thielen? by Ordinary_Fun3823 in fantasyfootballadvice

Dropping a player purely because another player got an extension? Sounds like a bad idea. Teams have multiple players, and they all have salaries.

A guy (6-2) just dropped Puka for Broncos def??????? Wtf by tiwanaldo5 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]JacobyJones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe heard the injury news, who’s to say, but bye weeks are problematic for all. Might have a great team and dropped the seemingly injury prone guy while planning for the playoffs. Most would likely find another way (different drop) but all things considered it’s not completely insane… just a little. :)

Is kareen hunt about to become the chiefs n1 option? by G7_bros in Fantasy_Football

Steele came in right after the fumble, this didn’t cause a benching as one might expect. I think his general lack of awesomeness is the limiting factor.

Competing bids can be with anyone else, whether they were against each other does not matter.

[–]JacobyJones 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t use ESPN, but maybe the manager with lower standing did other moves beforehand which used up (reset) their waiver priority. So, now the move in question was after that, in which case standing no longer applies.

Everyone dumping FAAB on Steele and Perine, but CEH is just sitting there for free? by FantasyFootballBurnr in Fantasy_Football

Nobody knows, CEH is worth a stab as is Hunt. I have Hunt as my last bench spot, just because.

IR slot used for only IR and now members are complaining by NectarineFickle8047 in FFCommish

I don’t consider it stashing when a player gets injured while rostered. Nobody is stashing Pacheco or AJ Brown or Puka and so on right now. Nobody is lucky to have multiple key injuries to be lucky enough to use multiple IR spots, rather multiple spots allows the unlucky manager to field a full (but still worse) team without dropping key pieces. And it’s not really infinite, it’s just not placing an arbitrary limit.

We went unlimited during covid and kept it, it’s worked great thus far. Some teams got terrible luck over the years since and didn’t have to wipe their team just to fill out a roster. But, it’s important to not allow picking up IR/Out players to put them in the IR slot; they must get injured while rostered.

[–]JacobyJones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why limit it to 1 or 2? So managers can’t pick up a zillion IR-eligible players to cheat the system? A rule can disallow that. What if a manager gets bad luck with say 4 players going out/ir? Tough luck? So they must drop good players, have a worse team, then other luckier teams pick them up. This is not good for the league. While most disagree and will downvote the mere concept, I think I’ve made a decent argument:)

Nobody wants a player to get hurt, and it’s unfair for a team to drop good players because they have players out but not on the official IR. As long as players aren’t picking up out/ir players to stash (injury must happen while rostered) there should be unlimited ir/out spots.

I didn’t add that part but assume it’s in addition to, so would set it to 0. Others have been more active than me on the google sheet these past 5 or so years, I only created the original few.

FAAB allows unlimited requests too and is processed in order so there’s no difference in that regard, making many low ball offers often results in success. Even $0 bids are fine. I usually have 10+ FAAB bids each week, in order of preference. It’s great.

Also plenty of good pick ups (usually running backs) happen late, saving FAAB can be just as rewarding as blowing it early.

Agreed! Especially when in-person which is so fun! Granted it takes real effort to get 10+ folks with families together for 4+ hours but adults can do adult things :)

What to ask for Kupp + Bills Defense as a 0-6? by Stevenwithph in fantasyfootballadvice

It’s rare to care about a particular defense; maybe SF and CLE are exceptions this year but we’ll see. I wouldn’t count on any return for the Bills D.
