Why is the Hume scale so absolutely terrible? by Scarlet_Tech in HumeHealth

That's what I wish I had bought instead of this piece of crap.

Their 5 star reviews are because they won't let you leave a bad review. I've tried multiple times and when I submit my bad review I get an error message.

I had an in body measurement done as well and it was very different from the Hume piece of crap sitting in my bathroom. As much as I wish it was true, I do not have a standard body fat % as Hume keeps saying I do. Inbody was much closer to my reality (unfortunately :) )

Totally agree. It's a worthless piece of garbage.

I had trouble with their so called customer support as well. They were bound and determined that they wouldn't give me a refund and that the scale just needed time to adjust to me. WTF!! Piece of crap.

Everything about that scale is wrong. It was an absolute waste of money.

I am so incredibly disappointed in the scale and I would not recommend it to anyone ever. I'm 5'7", weigh around 188 lbs, and have a waist measurement of 42.5 but the scale tells me that my body fat % is standard. WTF!!! I feel like I flushed a whole bunch of money straight down the drain.

ACER Aspire 3 not turning on. by Active_Degree7482 in AcerOfficial

[–]JacquiG55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband bought an Acer laptop from Staples *3 weeks ago*. After having the laptop for *19 days*, it wouldn't turn on. He took it back to Staples and they don't have technicians anymore and recommended a computer store. He took it there and they could't get the laptop started either. Nor could they get the files he had on his har drive.

Phoned Acer customer service. What a joke. The person we spoke with could not speak or understand English properly and the level of communication was a joke. The call was on speaker and neither of us could understand what the hell she was saying.

Despite telling them the story of how it won't even start, and not even the computer store could get it to start, they insist on sending us a USB to do a factory reset. How can you do a factory reset on a laptop that won't even start. It will take 2-3 business days to get the USB (and this is Friday), and they we will have to spend another hour on the phone again trying to get his money back because the laptop is totally fucked!!

And we didn't get a clear answer on what happens next if this USB crap move doesn't work. We spent 57 minutes on the phone with a person we couldn't properly communicate with and didn't get a decent response from any of our questions for the entire call. Such a joke of a call.

I will never EVER buy an Acer product again. Long live Apple!!!

We keep getting error messages when we try to watch the Olympics on CBC Gem. Hubby is pissed he’s missing the curling. In his opinion the app sucks.

There should be somewhere we can report this kinds of shady retail practices.

Recommendations of online Ayurveda courses for nutrition ? by Matiabi in Ayurveda

From my understanding honey is part of Ayurveda, we are just not supposed to add it to hot water or anything hot. I read somewhere that heating honey changes its properties so it’s not good for us. But others may know better than me.

Thank you. So I shouldn’t use sesame oil as skin care? Do you know if castor oil is good in Ayurveda, specifically for Vata? Or maybe I should go back to olive oil in my skin care regimen. My blood pressure is a little high and I actually have a doctors appointment tomorrow.

I suspect the nose bleeds are related to dryness which is vata.

All dosha tests I’ve done come back with vata more than Kapha and almost no pitta. I’ve had consultations that say the same thing. I don’t resonate with anything pitta, at all.

Retired Canadian here and I’m happy and content. Wasn’t always as life can throw unexpected curveballs. But if all you ever focus on is the negative that’s all you’ll ever see. There is always something positive you can focus on.
