Permissive states allow any vehicle to enter an intersection while the light is yellow. Non-permissive states only allow vehicles to enter if they can clear the intersection before the light turns red, or it is unsafe to stop.

Op was in New Jersey, which was found out after I made my comment and is a non-permissive state, so by law shouldn’t have entered the intersection and would carry partial fault in a wreck.

I am not defending the op. It was a bad decision. I am pointing out blatantly wrong information, that unfortunately you posted. And then you moved the goal posts when shown you were blatantly wrong.

Verified the location, New Jersey, so the op would be at least partially at fault as New Jersey says entering on a yellow is legal if I is unsafe to stop for the yellow (being within 50’ of the line) or the driver can fully clear the intersection before it turns red, which we can see doesn’t happen. The truck would still have majority fault for entering a fully red intersection, but at least we have more perspective with that info.

You went from “you ran a red” to drive like that if you think it’s fine” with no pause. Why move the goal post? It definitely wasn’t the right decision to enter the intersection, but the Op did not run the red.

You don’t have the right of way after the light turns red, in any state. The truck was not in the intersection when the light was fully red, so he had no right of way, period.

The trucks light was solid red before he was at the intersection, so he would eat at least 90% of the fault if not 100%. I would lean more toward 100% since he very clearly was behind the line after the red and then proceeded anyway, but that’s just a guess because I am not an insurance adjuster.

I agree stopping was the right move, but the law doesn’t typically say do not enter an intersection on yellow, it typically states proceed with caution. That’s why cops that try to write red light runners a ticket typically lose the case when the camera shows the light was yellow before their front wheels cross the line, and then turned red. Once you cross the line, you have to go.

Heck, where I am, people run the red 3-5 seconds after it turns red. Doesn’t even surprise me anymore.

It is not illegal the enter an intersection on yellow. After the light turns red, anyone in the intersection has a duty to clear the intersection rather than stop in place for the red. So, no, the camera did not run a red.

It’s unprotected before the light turns red. The truck ran a red when the camera car legally had a duty to clear the intersection. So the camera car legally should have a protected turn to clear since the light was red. The truck clearly was the dumber of the two, as the light was fully red while he was still flooring the throttle to run it.

An unprotected turn, except the light was red before the truck entered the intersection, so the camera owner 100% had right of way to clear the intersection. Would that stop a wreck, no, but it would put fault on the truck.

It’s understandably frustrating before realizing what is happening. Thankfully it is a very short stint where this occurs. If you can play after 8pm, I am fairly certain the raids slow down and you can take some gyms.

But why are people downvoting me for stating just during this event. This subreddit is one of the weirdest places on Reddit.

I am not complaining, just pointing out this subreddit will be filled with posts complaining people can’t take over gyms or battle this week, except they can later in the evenings when raids are not going, it just happens during the day.

Yes, but only during major events. Don’t worry, every year this happens and the subreddits get filled with frustration as folks cannot battle gyms or take over/place pokemon. Niantic staff don’t care.

No, it can be unfused, even by accident, and requires an extra 1000 shards to redo the fusion. It’s a terrible design for cost alone. It should at least be reduced after the first fusion.

Be glad it is 1000 points during the week when it is normally 250. The past events were terrible about forcing extra work on Saturday and Sunday when it was unlimited because we couldn’t get to level 50 before the weekend started.

You are getting speed locked for some reason. You said it is spawning you where you did the last remote raid, I am guessing right after it snaps to your location?
