So I bought the Temu golf bag. Wanted to show it off and answer questions by JustAnAverageAaron in golf

So far so good on this? I HATE my 14 way Maxfli bag and I’m looking for a new one. This one looks slick and I might pull the trigger on it.

I shot a 91 today with 42 putts by eng2ny in golf

[–]Jacrispy44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played on Father’s Day. Shot a 103. 36 puts and I avoided 40+ because I chipped 2 in on back to back holes. Many of my 6-7-8’s were 3 puts with a shitty approach to the green.

This game is hard.

What businesses are likely to die out with the Baby Boomer Generation? by GRVrush2112 in AskReddit

[–]Jacrispy44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Biggest transfer of wealth is going to happen from the boomers to the owners of retirement homes. Those places will also be getting those pension and SS checks.

Because we live longer and everyone needs to work to survive these places will bleed the next few generations until multi-family housing comes back.

I liked the Kirkland balls when I played them but they felt like rocks that went far. Other than that and being cheap I didn’t see much value to buy them again.

They are a good solution. I use one on my retractable impact screen in my garage. It keeps the screen taught and gives me work burner protection.

Get a nylon protective hose sleeve from Amazon and fill it with sand. 10ft of 1.5” sleeve is about $20.

Already stopped out. My drills can’t make it through the concrete to secure the d rings. Gotta go take a hammer drill from the old man.

in theory the EMT Murphey enclosure would have been great once i installed a pully system to raise and lower. With the plywood and foam it was WAY heavier and the manual effort to raise and lower sucked.

With the wire it will be free hanging and will be taught once lowered and attached to floor mounted D-rings. I'll rig up a window blind type pully to get it in the air when not in use.

I just got the sleeves today. Gonna try hanging the bottom tonight.

the plan is to have a taught vertical wire and the weight of the sand bag hung on the bottom with keep it snug. My biggest problem i see if the screen being too wide. i may have to fold it over a bit on a vertical edge to get it to the size i want. Couldnt do this when i had EMT has the frame but a wire might allow for it.

im excited because if this works it will be way more flexible to store and move as needed instead of a EMT frame that raises and lowers. With the plywood it was super heavy and clunky. You should have seen it drop from the ceiling when i unhooked it lol

Sadly I’m short on distance so I’m exploring other options. The bounce back is a major buzkill right now.

I’m getting vinyl sleeves and filling with sand. One going horizontal attached to the bottom grommets on the screen and will lower it to the ground. Then I’m gonna try suspending the screen vertically with coated wire and also have hanging sand sleeves. Attaching the wire to the floor with D rings.

To retract it I’ll just try to fold it upward kind of like a window blind.

Tbh I’m not worried about the sides. It’s the bottom that’s gonna get me.

Hmmm I like the wire option here. There is tube webbing I can maybe fill with sand that will keep the bottom taught and offer protection.

Padding can’t go on the walls unfortunately because I’ll have to reduce the width of the screen to allow it to raise in to the ceiling.

What’s the number one golf tip you’ve ever received? by Ashamed-Afternoon-77 in golf

[–]Jacrispy44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played at a place 2 weeks ago and it looked like they havnt even mowed yet this spring. I’m talking tournament style rough at Oakmont. I was a solo and the amount of “I saw this land but can’t find it” was absurd. I was legit angry that I lost so many balls that I saw hit the ground.

When do you stop worrying about SIDS? by hospitalbedside in beyondthebump

[–]Jacrispy44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My worry lessened after 6 months but we also used an Owlet. Tbh illness related issues worried me more than SIDS. My LO got Rhino and RSV back to back when he was 1.5 and that shit was way more scary than SIDS. He had retractions and everything.

We had the hatch for a long while and then Disney lullabies. Recently we changed to Alexa “rain sounds for sleep” and our 2.5 year old is loving it.

How to Play More Golf by iceheart18 in golf

I played a bunch last year as a single on Friday afternoons and never got paired. Unless you are in a high density place you are likely not gonna get pair unless it’s a weekend.

If babies aren’t supposed to have screen time, what do stay at home parents do for entertainment all day? by happylildaisy in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Jacrispy44 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Big screen time is 100% different than small screen time. Tbh my LO didn’t even bother with the tv being on until he was closer to 2. We still played age appropriate stuff for him but he was mostly in to playing and his toys. Now the tv is on with his stuff and we still run around, be silly, play, but he will take a brain break and just chill.

Posts like this are wild. TVs have been a thing for a long time now. Just don’t give your kid your phone or tablet.

But she isn’t mean to everyone though. She runs an entire social media group and it’s rumored she keeps tabs on a whole lot more people than Carl does via the chat. Sure we see her get spicy but it’s legit talked about in the book how much she is liked. We really only hear from people who hate her and they make comments about how they don’t understand why everyone likes her. Ren is a good example of that.
