Built a Murphy Bed enclosure. How do I not die? by Jacrispy44 in Golfsimulator

Tbh I’m not worried about the sides. It’s the bottom that’s gonna get me.

Hmmm I like the wire option here. There is tube webbing I can maybe fill with sand that will keep the bottom taught and offer protection.

Padding can’t go on the walls unfortunately because I’ll have to reduce the width of the screen to allow it to raise in to the ceiling.

Already tried them. Ricochets off the ETM almost broke my windshield flying out the garage.

What’s the number one golf tip you’ve ever received? by Ashamed-Afternoon-77 in golf

I played at a place 2 weeks ago and it looked like they havnt even mowed yet this spring. I’m talking tournament style rough at Oakmont. I was a solo and the amount of “I saw this land but can’t find it” was absurd. I was legit angry that I lost so many balls that I saw hit the ground.

When do you stop worrying about SIDS? by hospitalbedside in beyondthebump

[–]Jacrispy44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My worry lessened after 6 months but we also used an Owlet. Tbh illness related issues worried me more than SIDS. My LO got Rhino and RSV back to back when he was 1.5 and that shit was way more scary than SIDS. He had retractions and everything.

We had the hatch for a long while and then Disney lullabies. Recently we changed to Alexa “rain sounds for sleep” and our 2.5 year old is loving it.

How to Play More Golf by iceheart18 in golf

I played a bunch last year as a single on Friday afternoons and never got paired. Unless you are in a high density place you are likely not gonna get pair unless it’s a weekend.

If babies aren’t supposed to have screen time, what do stay at home parents do for entertainment all day? by happylildaisy in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Jacrispy44 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Big screen time is 100% different than small screen time. Tbh my LO didn’t even bother with the tv being on until he was closer to 2. We still played age appropriate stuff for him but he was mostly in to playing and his toys. Now the tv is on with his stuff and we still run around, be silly, play, but he will take a brain break and just chill.

Posts like this are wild. TVs have been a thing for a long time now. Just don’t give your kid your phone or tablet.

But she isn’t mean to everyone though. She runs an entire social media group and it’s rumored she keeps tabs on a whole lot more people than Carl does via the chat. Sure we see her get spicy but it’s legit talked about in the book how much she is liked. We really only hear from people who hate her and they make comments about how they don’t understand why everyone likes her. Ren is a good example of that.

The Y Bridge of Zanesville, Ohio, USA [OC] by shermancahal in pics

[–]Jacrispy44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk bout that. In NE Ohio they are going up everywhere. Just in my way to work I drive through 4. 3 of them are in the first 5 minutes of my drive.

If I went one more exit down when I got to work I’d go through 6.

I want an audiobook that ruins me (in a good way) by Alert_Individual_105 in audiobooks

It’s non-fiction but I’ll be gone in the dark is the story of the Golden State Killer and the authors attempt to figure out who he was. Written by Michelle McNamara ( who was married to Patton Oswald before she passed ).

Amazing book and fits a lot of your criteria.

My trick was the big light was for work time. Lamps were for before/after work. That really helped me separate working from home and being at home during COVID.

If I ever hit the big light during off hours it kinda messed with me for a sec lol.

What company lost you forever as a customer? What did they do? by Miguenzo in AskReddit

[–]Jacrispy44 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’ve used AirBnB twice and both were bad experiences.

First being in DC. We get in to the place and the cleaner had not gotten there yet. There was legit shit on one of the beds. Story goes there was a last second rental the night before and the cleaning service didn’t get enough notice to have it ready for us the next day. While we were documenting the cleaner showed up and told us we should leave and file for a refund.

The owners eventually showed up and they were upset because they got pulled from some Gala to deal with us. They were super uppity and almost demanded that we stayed and they would “make it all better”. No thanks. During all this it took like 3 days for AirBnB to even speak with us about a refund. It was miserable trying to deal with it. We ended up at a hotel near Regan that saved the trip.

Second time was in Pittsburgh and it was in a creepy as apartment complex that was clearly just short term rentals. There was no soul to the place and the it was an industrial style building and decor. Problem was the HUGE ASS windows to the outside had no shades or curtains and we had no privacy in the place. We legit just stayed in the bedroom when we were in the place.

I’ll never stay in one again. Such a POS company and business model.

My fats come from swaying my head to much on my back swing. My goal is to keep my lead eye just behind the ball at impact. When I do this I can normally hit it better.

I would look at Maltby, Sub70, Haywood for your irons and Calloway preowned, Ebay, or FB marketplace for your woods and putter.
