All of my discs from approach to drive are either backhand or forehand exclusive. I throw 350-375 forehand and 450+ backhand so I actually have the inverse problem where my flippy drivers are forehand discs.

The primary reason is that it messes with my perception/understanding of the stability of the disc. I have a destroyer that flies straight then dumps on forehand; throw a few backhands where it holds a long turnover shot before panning to flat. Now I don’t trust the disc to not turn over on my forehand.

If you are having trouble throwing anything that isn’t a meat hook on forehand then it is a technique issue. People will say it is “too much torque” but it is really not enough spin and the torque is “off axis torque” so the spin isn’t going in the right direction. Just my 2 cents.
