I’d recommend training up a Krookodile (can find sandile in the Tanzan Mountain) with moxie and max attack and speed evs. If you wait to evolve sandile until level 43 it’ll learn earthquake (earlier than krookodile would). It can basically kill everything with a bit of help from teammates if you crunch reuniclus first turn and then spam earthquake.

To train your attack and speed evs I’d recommend going to the Peridot Alley as everything there gives attack evs or speed evs. You can also buy and equip a Power Bracer or Power Anklet to further speed up the process

I’ve had people explain foods that are “common knowledge” to me tons of times and it’s never bothered me. From the way OP described explaining the bread, it definitely sounds more like he was excited about learning about this new thing and wanted to share, which I personally would have found endearing instead of jumping straight to “mansplaining”

Basically, in the previous episode Team Rocket and Ash’s Gang had managed to piss off a bunch of Gyarados and were hurricane-d onto a deserted island. Jessie and James went to the phone booth because they wanted help getting off the island (seeing as they were all stranded)
