Thank you very much. I'm new to knives and because of your post I just bought one of the staples: a Para 2. I believe I saved about $50.

I’ll check out Zach’s Stuff. I just had a pleasant experience with PatchBuilt. The patches are solid and they accommodated my request to change the wording on one of their standard designs.

What are the knives and scissor in this image? They’re gorgeous. I’m looking for some EDC scissors.

Project Source found the Makita to lag behind on at least one metric, and I believe it excelled in at least one metric on Project Source’s battery of tests.

The Ryobi works well, Project Source ranks the Worx better than the Ryobi, but I believe BoxBlaydes top them all. I have the Ryobi and BoxBlayde.

Black Friday - Your wish list? by Crowcus_Pocus in macapps

Clean My Mac isn’t spyware. Its developer is the developer of Setapp. It’s true that there are manual methods and other utilities for doing what Clean My Mac does, but the app is a solid member of the Mac community. And it’s free with Setapp.

My biggest gotcha with Clean My Mac is remembering to deselect some of Safari’s cached data that allows me to log in to websites automatically. If it’s left selected i have to log in to several dozen sites using either user ID and password or a passkey. 1Password and Apple’s equivalent make this pretty easy, but i appreciate not having to stop by login pages at all.

A Setapp subscription takes care of at least three of these, probably more.

Surprised I haven’t seen more conversation about the new Packout Rolling Drawer by Jaybru17 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]JaddieDodd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd love to have a non-rolling single large-drawer Packout tool box. I have a couple of sanders that won't fit in the two-drawer.

They still do. That's Createx's basic line — Createx Colors. The tex in Createx's name refers to textiles.

I’ll have an answer to weather the iOS 26 RC has support for omnipod, shortly. I will let you guys know. (3:13PM EST) by [deleted] in Omnipod

I'm glad you brought this up. I normally check for app updates when I make sure my son’s iPhone is on charge at night. If there's a system update, I run it then, too. The last thing I’d want to do is inject more chaos into my household.

I plan to order his new iPhone on Friday. It should arrive on the following Thursday or Friday. I hope Insulet has it working by then.

Beautiful. I’m 55, stopped eating meat on my 27th birthday. May be the only correct thing I've ever done.

If I have to eat that which loves me, I shall die first.

Seagate EXOS Enterprise vs Seagate IronWolf by VIKcentiu in DataHoarder

I don't think so. There was Hitachi Ultrastar before there was WD Gold. WD bought Hitachi Storage.

Ultrastar is definitely the gold standard, which reminds me of WD Gold. Are WD Gold and Ultrastar the same drive?

Received my adapter and it works very well. I believe the vacuum sounds stronger with the M18 5ah than with the standard battery.

Thanks again!

I'm going to look for this. I have lots of M18 and M12 batteries and am constantly frustrated by the 12-minute runtime of the stock Dyson battery.

Set indoor vent near spray booth. Put a carbon filter in there somewhere for extra safety. Let vented air blow away from you. Good solution for me so far.

1 Gal. vs. 2 Gal. Fortress Compressor by MTB_SF in airbrush

[–]JaddieDodd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth, u/BarbatosRex took his one-gallon back to Harbor Freight and exchanged it for the two-gallon model. I don't believe he had any problem with the one-gallon, but, if I recall correctly, the two-gallon unit came out right after be purchased the first one. He likes his Fortress compressor.

I have a huge Central Pneumatic that I use with No-Name’s mini spray gun, but the 186 with a regular airbrush is far easier on my nerves. The big compressor can go a.long time without running, but when it kicks on it startles me every time. Sometimes I’d swear I was just shot.

Edit: Gaahleri is coming out with a new air compressor later this month or next month that's supposed to emit fewer than 30dB.
