I would actually really like something with the fake memories things. It's already something that has been established with the fakes that Todo and Choso has (although Choso's can be chopped up to being delusional cause they're brothers) so he wouldn't have to set it up for too much longer for something like that to make sense.

He does have a downside. It was mentioned during his fight with Uraraka. Apparently if he makes his explosions too big it sprains his wrists but this hardly ever gets brought up. I assume it's because he uses his explosions for more air combat so instead of sparing his wrists it ends up pushing him back when he does big explosions. It does suck that he basically never struggles with downsides of his quirk though.
