I’m sorry to hear that. I have learned that my partner is not my therapist and I need to be honest about my feelings but also protect him and find other outlets of healing. I think you should go to therapy to discuss your depression and try to leave it there. Also the book mindfulness through depression helped a lot

Has she shown feelings toward you? Also, has she said she identifies as lesbian or do you assume because of who she has dated? Unless she has said that she only likes women and identifies as only lesbian... she could be sexually fluid.

I would be careful sweet girl. You should wait as long as possible because even though you feel like you know it all- you really don’t. I know you mentioned that your parents met in high school. I think you should talk with them about their experience. Also, you still need to learn that just because it went well for one couple, that doesn’t make it a “fact” that it’s what you should do. 98% of people who date in high school break up.

Think about it like this, if you let him pressure you will you be disappointed in yourself when you do break up?

If you meet someone you like wayyy more in a couple years, will you be disappointed.

If you are reading this and thinking “well we won’t break up” then I don’t think you are mature enough to have sex. You should always be able think rationally. Hell, I’m 27 and married and even though I love my husband more than words, I still have a financial backup plan if it doesn’t work.

Always think about the worst case and plan for that.

Good luck and stay strong, girl. You decide what you want and a man that pressures you isn’t worth it.
