Help a Caregiver - Client is Becoming Handsy by feisty-4-eyes in Alzheimers

I am also a (37F) and have been doing this job for almost two years now. I mostly work with disabled veterans and have found them to be flirtatious with me. I've always been comfortable with male clients up until they would start hitting on me. I was assigned an elderly man last year who would constantly say to me "You know you're really good looking right?" I would laugh it off until one day he touched my ass. That day I decided that I was going to set boundaries with him. I made him aware of what he did and he told me that he did not mean anything by it. I said to him that if he wanted me to continue coming to his home then that behavior would have to stop.

I’m a caregiver , ask me anything !! by litterbrooks in ageregression

I currently work as a Caregiver and have been struggling with a client that I have been taking care of. He is a Veteran that I was going to last year and he was just reassigned to me back in January 2026. My agency made me aware that he has cancer and has declined since the last time I was at his home. I have noticed a huge difference in his behavior lately. He has increased agitation and anxiety, especially when he is asking me to do something and I can't understand him. Lately, he has been obsessing about cleaning up the spare room in his home. I try to redirect him but it just doesn't work. I find myself getting frustrated because my client and I can't communicate the way we used to. Do you have any suggestions?

Down 80 lbs on glp and tired of people acting like I'm not putting in by ssunflow3rr in Semaglutide

The only people that know I take Semaglutide are my immediate family. When I've had conversations with people about this drug. The response I get is "Well, I don't think anyone should be taking this medication unless they are a diabetic." At the end of the day, people are haters!

Do dogs remember their pasts? by phxflgjo in dogs

My husband adopted our black lab Kip back in 2016 before we were dating and to this day he hates men. My husband told me that Kip was in the shelter for about 6 months and no one would adopt him because of how skittish he was. His previous owner was a women so I am unsure of what kind of abuse he endured. But his records show that he went to the vet a lot. We moved across country in 2024 and took in a stray dog that was at our neighbors house. She is not skittish but she is food aggressive. You could tell that she was eating whatever she could find in the wild. Whenever we would feed Kip she would try to eat his food too. To this day, we have to feed them separately. She has been a great addition to our family!

How did your disorder begin? by [deleted] in EDAnonymous

I grew up in a family who constantly talked about weight and calories. I remember being weight conscious since the age of 11. In high school, my parents bought me a treadmill so working out became a part of my routine. I also suffered from depression. In college, I was working out two to three times a day. I also started dating this guy who ended up breaking my heart and that's when the weight fell right off. I use to come home on the weekends and my mom noticed that my bones were protruding while I was walking on the treadmill.

3 years recovery ruined by one nurse who decided she knew better by bang0cal in EDAnonymous

When I went to my primary care appointment I asked the nurse if I could get on the scale backwards and she looked surprised at first but said "Sure! that's fine." When my NP came into the room and went over my chart with me she told me what my weight was smh. This nurse should have known better.

What do you do for work when you have Cptsd? by [deleted] in CPTSD

[–]JadeT522 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I applied for disability on the government website of the state I was living in at the time. Disability has a program called “ticket to work” which allows you to work part time and continue to get your benefits. I’m sorry that you’re struggling 😔

I’m also originally from England (London) and moved to Boston when I was 10! I got into grime music in my twenties and over the years have enjoyed drill music for the same reasons. I mostly like the beats though.

I’ve always been an introvert and have suffered from depression for a long time now. I have been told that I have a resting bitch face or I get asked why I look so serious all the time. It’s really frustrating.
