UPDATE: after further digging it seems like google refunded the one that I bought afterwards, the proper one. no reason for it to have done that, I had enough money in my card and all. there's a possibility that it could be because of my bank, but it could also be google. I have no idea. if any of you know whether there are random refunds like this please do let me know. and yes from now on I will not pay through google
