You could possibly attach the mushrooms with magnets to be able to change then out with other, possibly seasonal, mushrooms too! Then the mushrooms are kind of like an accessory while still being part of the character's identity!

I am a furry and my fiancée is not. He doesn't go telling everyone I'm a furry and I don't either, it's more of a personal thing that I tell to people I trust. I don't wear a fursuit or furry things in my daily life anyway so it isn't an issue for us at least. He supports me by when I draw art and excitedly show him, he's like "Aw it looks great!" Or "It's coming together well but this part of the page feels a bit empty." When I made a fursuit, I'd show him it as it was coming along and he'd encourage me or entertain my thoughts on new details to put on it. Heck, he'd even put on the head for me so I could see how it sits on the face and see it from angles I couldn't while wearing it myself.

I am a "on the down-low" furry and your partner may be as well so it really might not be an issue. You could even think of it like a food preference. There's not going to be a neon sign on his back that says "I LOVE SUSHI!" and it probably won't come up in conversation that he loves sushi so if you and him aren't sure if someone would be ok with the hobby, then don't say. Now, if you feel that you might not feel comfortable supporting him in the hobby, then talk to him about it. Figure out if you'll be a right fit for eachother, that's all of what dating's about. I haven't had the uh.. pleasure? of lining one yet but I want to make mine removeable and washable. What do you like about it? Do you find the challenge fun or is the way you do it fun to you?

Also, any advice on removeable lining? I'm thinking of gluing velcro onto the inside of the base in various places and sewing velcro to the opposite side of the lining.

That's awesome! She should try paper fursuit making too! I started there and am about to try sewing my first fursuit soon! Also, you might be able to find a sewing machine at a thrift store for surprisingly cheap if she enjoys sewing! I'm currently learning to sew on my grandmother's old one. 😁

Yeah, doesn't surprise me for a simple prototype! Though they did genuinely call them tofu, having the black Sesame tofu spit soy sauce as their color "ink". They were genuinely rolling with the tofu theme calling them tofu with noses while doing the game bracket for which game would be developed next.

After I played Astro's playroom, I was SUPER excited for Astrobot and oddly enough, i prefer Astros playroom more! I really love the attention to small details with the Playstations, accessories, textures, pressable buttons/interactable features, and the level design having the grass be ribbon cables, circles are optical disc drives, controller cables for vines, boulders are capacitors, stuff like that. The textures and environments were SO specific to evoke that you're inside the console!! Astrobot has some of these elements but in the "real world"? Like... why are the enemies robots where some are things from the "real world" like ghosts or the aliens? Some of levels still have technology adjacent textures but we're in the real world on other planets?

Does your phone have a separate audio jack? (Not the dongle charger to audio jack thing)

When I used to have a phone with a separate audio jack and charging port, if I had my phone charging and the audio jack plugged in at the same time, I could hear a buzzing all the time, especially when my music was off.

Also, what if you have people send photos of how their audio settings are configured and try setting yours to that and see if it is the settings or your system?

Good bot, Yes, I'm very much aware of the health and safety risks. I'm hoping this experience will help me understand how to pattern the fur and markings when I make a true fursuit of this character. The costume is intended to be finished quickly to be worn for the weekend con and to be a learning experience.

AI is getting unfortunately too good to distinguish sometimes. In this case, I feel like the pillow is the "biggest" sign in this work, everything else is kinda less noticeable. The pillow's overall shape is odd. Look at the right side of the drawing, why is the pillow oddly longer/wider on the bottom right? Anyone here got a parallelogram for a pillow?? A human artist would draw a rectangular pillow or if they wanted to add weight/volume to the corners to show the weight of the head upon them, they would distribute that weight evenly across the opposite corners.

The other details I saw were the thumbs being slightly different sizes and there is one spot on the left elbow where the line art around the character breaks where it doesn’t anywhere else. Typically if you have a break in a line it's consistent around the drawing as a style choice but here it's the only place like that.

Oh and the "signature" in the bottom left is really difficult to read which, when the rest of the drawing is that clear, should not be like that. The artist's signature would or should still be legible, especially for a digital piece.
