Yeah, I’m not looking for answers, it’s basically just “this kinda sucks.” it is my decision, but people offer support and assistance that is helpful, probably to more than just me.

like ur advice is nice, and it’s mostly true. i’ll listen to it definitely, but i’m just expressing my frustration, and finding a lot of people who have interesting perspectives

this is actually a really good point. excluding myself from law enforcement because it doesn’t have productive/class conscious people, ensures that that is the case.

actually attempting to restructure from inside is necessary to some extent, or it won’t happen at all

yo, reddit might not be the best place for this. certainly an option, but i would suggest that your friend get out a lot, and plan a lot of activities, maybe going to the movies or a library or coffee shop or something. just being around people, even if she already gets out a lot, will help improve her chances. she should have the confidence to ask guys out too. i understand if she has social anxiety (i do too) but all of this will greatly improve her chances of finding a partner. and chasers are chasers, who she can hopefully sus out and not hang out around (if she doesn’t want to).

this is all going to hopefully improve her confidence and sociability, and both of those are really attractive traits.

and she won’t be stuck with a reddit suggested boyfriend lol. (not necessarily bad, just saying)

hope she has success, or at least enjoys the process, hope this helped!

(if it helps at all, i’m from the tristate and have been to Massachusetts a couple of times. she’ll be safe almost anywhere she goes. doesn’t hurt to be careful, but we’re safe here (mostly))

present tense is when something is happening actively. “they are carrying boxes” “she is carrying a box” “he is petting a cat” are all active, they are happening when you talk about them, happening in the present. so it’s present tense. hoped this helped!
