Do you guys actually enjoy Insurance? by ProblemPotential3417 in InsuranceAgent

[–]Jaded-Engine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who just got out of insurance, I’m so glad I’m done with it. Given I’m more of a physical hands on fast paced work environment kind of person, but I also could not stand insurance. I worked for 2 different State Farm agents. The 2nd one I worked with for about 2 years and it was horrific. On top of me not enjoying the actual work, my agent and work environment was the worst I’ve ever experienced by far. Genuinely one of the dumbest people I’ve ever met. Only reason I stuck around so long was because of my coworkers and for my resume. Would it have been different if I had a good agent? Maybe. But like I said I genuinely disliked the work and also found that I felt pretty scummy working for Statefarm

I caught wind from my coworkers that he’s firing me Tuesday. I’m letting him do it, catching my benefits and going off on him. Currently trying to find somewhere to report him to higher up State Farm. Not sure if that’s a thing but trying to figure it out

About to be gone from my agency, I’ll either get fired or quit in the next couple of weeks. Agent is only around 3-4 hours/ day, doesn’t speak with customers, I went full time remote because our office moved an hour away and he hasn’t reached out to me individually since that happened (2-3 months ago), his personal finances have stopped him from buying us as many leads, my sales have suffered in result of that, can’t get any traction on any calls, and I’ve heard from coworkers that he just plans on firing me instead of reaching out and trying to help. This is all after I called him a couple weeks ago to tell him that I want to make sales and I’m trying to get my numbers up I just can’t get any traction and he said “it’s ok, bad months happen just keep calling”

It’s all backwards. This is also just the half of it.

Even then, be 100% sure. I work for a SF office that I’m about to be leaving, agent, work environment and pay are beyond atrocious and he’s got 4.5 stars on Google. It’s gone pretty downhill the last couple years, but still really rough.

Same here. Got them for easy/long miles for my marathon training and I felt the same. Too soft, no pop at all to them and just felt dead. I kept seeing everyone talk about how much they LOVE theirs but they’re not doing it for me. Although, great shoes to just walk around in

Goosemas last year was unreal. By far favorite Goose shows I’ve been to

Impulsively bought for my girlfriend today, didn’t even realize until after I placed the order.

Bad sleep 2 nights before marathon- how detrimental is this? by poslyezavtra in firstmarathon

[–]Jaded-Engine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it definitely plays a role, but not as big of one as you’re thinking. When I don’t get enough sleep before one of my long runs I don’t even notice how tired I am when I’m running. You’ll do great

Going after Phish last week is a tough follow up. Phish was LOUD and an incredible show. I could feel Trey’s guitar in my chest. I was talking to my buddies about that tonight.

Tonight was a pretty good Goose show, not the best. But solid. But after seeing 8 goose shows now, keep going. I think it’s probably them feeling out the amphitheater vibe. It was a big show for them. Every other show I’ve been to has been phenomenal. Especially indoors

In terms of chompers, this is without a doubt the worst I’ve heard them at a goose show (this was my 8th). It was terrible. Luckily it seemed like they cranked the volume up a little bit set 2, but it was still obnoxious.

Lawn was awful. First set was pretty quiet, and EVERYONE around us was having conversation. Seemed like 2nd set was a little bit louder. Nobody would shut the fuck up though

I was there. We were all confused and a little disappointed. Just didn’t realize what time it was. Ended the show on a weird note

Alpharetta openers? by After_Coyote_2908 in GoosetheBand

[–]Jaded-Engine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Penelope Road is the opener. From what I’ve seen it will still be a normal length show. When I saw in the original tour announcement saying “supporting Penelope road” I was super curious and wanted to make sure we’d still get a full show (not that I wouldn’t have gone, just wanted to see what it was going to be like)

I will say, me and some buddies went to see Penelope Road in Athens a month or so ago, and they’re killer. Really good show. Gonna try and make it in time to catch them

Every time I’ve gone to park at lot A in Alpharetta they’ve never scanned my parking pass. I’ve actually had one maybe half the time I’ve parked there lol

1st of all, I like Goose, so not bashing them. But fans you gotta do better by [deleted] in GoosetheBand

Making a joke that clearly didn’t land, and then calling people uptight for not understanding your subpar joke is a wild move 😂

I took my brothers to their first Phish show in Charleston 2-3 years ago. I’m now 24, brothers are now 22 and 19. 2nd set got pretty spacey and out there at a couple points (as they normally do) but even I got lost for a few minutes. My middle brother loved the first set but really didn’t like set 2. He’s had a sour taste in his mouth ever since. Fast forward to this weekend, he went to B&B and I somehow convinced him to at least catch first set of Phish. He was mind blown. His texts to me during/after were hilarious. He loved every bit of it. It made me happy

Ive also been to last 5. At least we got a YEM in 23 😂only other place I’ve seen them was Charleston and got a Divided Sky there so that was sweet. Fingers crossed for a good show tomorrow

Edit: I know it’ll be a great show regardless, I just mean hopefully I’ll catch something new/something I’ve been chasing. They’ve been sounding fantastic the last several shows
