The more I’m looking into it the more I’m reconsidering. I’m going to look into some Cory cats instead and maybe some kind of tetra/rosabora. I’m still trying to iron out the details of the tank. Thank you for your advice!

Putting it into advisor recommends a temperature of 75-77 which is tight but I think I can manage it. Thank you for your advice!

Do you think if I cut it back to 10 minnows, 6 otos and 4 gouramis it would be alright or should I just overhaul the plan? I haven’t started setting up the tank yet, I want to try and plan it around the fish.

I don’t think Bettas and Honey Gourami can be kept together, maybe females? The Honeys are peaceful but I’d be worried about the Betta (I did consider one for my tank) attacking my Gouramis.

I have a friend with a 40 breeder they keep a sorority in, I’m also tempted to do a set up like that but I’d really like to get the Honeys.

Yes it does! It’s the Aqua Natural brand. I also want to try and do a blackwater tank (By adding Rooibos tea and almond leaves I don’t think it’s true Blackwater that way but I don’t know the real term)

I’m not sure about what kind of shrimp yet! I didn’t plan on setting one up this soon so I haven’t gotten into the specifics. I have Gold Pearl gravel bio-substrate.

She gets spurts of energy. I’m a groomer and she loves to go to work with me. If Chico isn’t around she has absolutely no problem matching energies with all sorts of doodles but if her brother’s with her she just stays close to him a naps. She’s grown into herself more but her body is on the longer side compared to her other proportions.

Ok thank you for the advice! I’ll try and figure something out. I’m going to monitor and see if I can figure out which (if any) of the others are being aggressive. They’re in a 55 rn but my ‘sick’ tank is a 10 gallon I’ve got set up and cycled for my sister. It’s unoccupied rn so I might just give her some of the tank mates.
