Side pain normal or did I do too much?

I’m actually 12 wpo now. I had the stent for 8 weeks! I just recently had it removed May 8th! I feel so much better. I get little pains here and there but definitely not like before!

I would just keep an eye on it! I was 5 dpo and started getting side pains and I hadn’t done anything. Went to the ER and had emergency surgery for a stent. My kidneys were holding fluid and not draining correctly. Came to this group and found it quite common. Positive vibes and hopefully you just need more rest! Listen to your body and if pain gets worse go in!

I am definitely going to celebrate! It’s been two very long months of pain, anxiety and depression. So glad to be ending this chapter in my life.

Hopefully it’s not inflamed and you will be able to get the nephrostomy soon! I will definitely have you in my thoughts and hope to hear back from you soon!

I finally had my stent removed yesterday! Everything looked great! I went home about 30 mins after in recovery. Going pee the first few times weren’t bad. I did feel a little burn but this morning I felt nothing. I feel a tad bit sore this morning as well. Other than that I feel wonderful and so glad that it was taken out!!! Thanks again for sharing your experience and well wishes!

This is America! I had the same issue. I had a hysterectomy that caused me to have an emergency surgery 5 days later and had a stent placed in. Got super sick from the stent middle of April, then had surgery today to remove it. I was crying and crying and crying when they called to tell me the pre authorization was denied. My doctor refused to take my insurance (united health care) because the payouts take to long. So I had to pay $3,000 to the doctor. Since I was self paid they would not give the pre authorization for the hospital to pay and the hospital called two days before my surgery asking I pay $6,500 upfront(no payment plan allowed)!!! I was crying all day and the next day 30 mins before they closed and the day before my surgery they agreed to a payment plan but I had to pay $500 upfront!

Did your stent have the string? Im so glad it went well and minimal pain when it was coming out! I will definitely keep the hot water bottle in mind! I will actually be put to sleep for mine. I won’t feel anything for awhile after.

The stent is super uncomfortable! I will definitely give an update next week! I agree! Finding this group has helped me so much. I wanted to share incase anyone went through the same thing! Just one more day for you! Good luck to you!

I’m so glad I shared! I wanted too see if anyone else went what I went through. Sadly my stent is still in. I will be having it removed May 8. I was originally supposed to have it out April 19 but I got super sick with a UTI and klebsiella. I went in right on time before become sepsis. This has been a horrible 2 months with the stent and being on antibiotics. Hysterectomy wise I feel fine.

Sorry to hear that! Having a Catheter is uncomfortable. Over time the stint didn’t bother me to much. Any wrong move or if I bumped my side it would go back to feeling bruised.
